I wake up, my eyes adjusting to the light.
I noticed I was being carried by Lee.
I look next to me and see Marcus, Levi, beau, Evelyn and Regan.
Regan smiles at me and I return the smile.
Lee places me down on the ground gently, passing me what looks like tablets.
"Take them, you'll feel better" he signs to me.
I nod and take them.
"Where are we?" I sign.
I look at my surroundings, seeing we're on a bridge.
I look over and see beau playing with a toy rocket ship.
"We're finding somewhere safe" Marcus signs.
I nod.
"But we have to be quiet" he adds on.
We stand up. I get embraced by Levi who looks like he'd been crying.
I hug him tighter, rubbing his back.
Evelyn tugs my arm, indicating we need to leave.
We nod and start walking.

As we where walking over the bridge, I look back and see beau.
He was playing with the rocket toy thingy.
Marcus notices I've stopped and looks back at me.
"What?" He signs.
I tilt my head over to beau.
He nudged lee.
Lee looks back and sees beau with the rocket, his eyes instantly widen.

All of a sudden beau presses a button on the rocket, making it light up and make a lot of noise.
I cover my mouth, knowing he's probably going to get pounced on.
Lee starts running, full speed
towards beau.
I see the creature running towards beau as well, I just hope Lee gets there first.
I look back and see Evelyn, she was crying.
Levi pulls me behind him, so I can't see.
I hear a crashing noise, then I see the creature run away.
and I know.
I know it got beau.
Evelyn falls to the floor, crying.
She places her hand over her mouth so she doesn't make any noise.
I sit next to her, pulling her into a hug.
I know how it feels to loose someone you love.
Lee walks back, with tears on his cheeks.
He falls on his knees, pulling Evelyn into a hug.
I stand up, wiping my tears.
I look over at Levi, Regan and Marcus, Marcus was crying,
Levi was with Regan trying to comfort her.
I rush over to Marcus, he sees me and falls into my arms, crying into my shirt.

I feel so terrible, I could've stopped him.
I saw what he was doing, why didn't I stop him?
I silently cry with Marcus, knowing everything he's going through.

We all stayed like this for a few minutes, once everyone had calmed down Lee signs to us that we should all leave as it's not safe here.
We agree and move on.
As we where walking Marcus grabs my hand and starts swinging our hands, it's a thing we always did when we where walking anywhere together.
Despite the amount of times we get mistaken for a couple, we still do it.
I guess a part of me wished it was true, but I just buried it.

All of a sudden lee stops, making me walk into the back of him.
I look ahead and see a rather large farm house, it looked abandoned.
He tells us to wait here while he goes into it.
Him, Evelyn, Levi and Regan all went inside, Marcus and I where told to make sure nothing comes and to hold the bags.
I sit on the ground, looking up at Marcus.
He softly smiles at me and sits down by my side.
I sigh, knowing that even if those creatures leave, my whole life will still change.
Jack and beau aren't coming back, and everyone will still have those scars. The scars of remembering what our loved ones look like At their grave.
And it was heartbreaking.
Marcus leans his head on my shoulder, trying to relax.
I smile.
even though a lot of terrible and traumatic things happened today, I'll always have Marcus.
I wrap my arm around his shoulder, leaning my head on top of his.
I see the door to the house open and Evelyn walk out.
"It's safe" she signs, me and Marcus smile, standing up and picking up the backpacks.
We walk into the house and see a perfectly normal house, it was just a bit dirty.
"It's pretty fine" Marcus signs, making me laugh at his choice of words- well, his choice of...signs?
I nod and place the back on the ground.
I walk up the stairs and into one of the bedrooms.
The first room was pretty big, it had a double bed and basic decoration.
I walk into the second room and it looked pretty much the same.
I walk into the 3rd and final room and the only thing different is that it had 2 single beds instead of one double bed.

I guess this could be a nice home.
