Chapter 63

Laurens POV

I didnt know who this Melony girl was, however I heard from the boys that she was a walking nightmare. I sat down in tutor, not looking over at Scarlett and her group. Melony was sat with them.
"Who invited the one act freak show?" I heard. I looked down, hugging myself.
"Who knows." Scarlett smirked. "Be careful, she'll get her boyfriend on you since she cant handle it herself."
"Who would want to date that." Melony scoffed.
"Josh." Scarlett said. "The wannabe athlete." She smirked.
"Oh hes Joes friend right? Is he still with pennywise the clown?" Melony smirked.
"Oh yeah." Scarlett scoffed. "He wont see how disgusting she really is." She said. My hand clenched into a fist. I could take them talking crap about me, it hurt, but I could take it. However them talking about Josh and Dianne angered me. Before I could say anything my tutor started the register, and not long after that the bell went, signalling first period. We had PE. I smiled, walking over to the sports hall, seeing Josh waiting outside.
"Hey." I smiled, kissing his cheek.
"Hi." He said. "Is Melony in your tutor?" He asked. I nodded, looking down at my feet. "Dont listen to anything she says okay?" He tilted my head up. "Nothing she says is true." He whispered, kissing me gently before we had to go get changed. I walked into the changing rooms, seeing Dianne getting changed.
"Hey Di."
"Hey." She smiled, looking over at me.
"Melonys in my tutor." I said and her eyes widened.
"Trust me shes the devil." Dianne said. "Just dont let her hear anything about your personal life. She knows mine and Im terrifed shes going to tell everyone." She sniffed.
"Were all here for you Di." I smiled. "No matter what. If she spreads it we have you back." I said, putting on my shoes before putting my hair up.
"Thank you." She said with a sweet smile before walking out to the gym.

Joes POV

I was sat down in art, working on my final piece. I looked up, Melony sitting next to me.
"What are you doing here?" I snapped quietly.
"Getting an education just like everyone else." She said in a sickly sweet tone.
"Why at this school." I glanced up at her.
"Because youre here." She hummed. "You dont think I forgot about you do you? You and that disgusting red head."
"Her names Dianne and shes not disgusting." I said, one push away from shouting at her.
"Just wait." She said, running her fingers through my hair. "Lets just say break is going to be entertaining for one on of us. Ill give you a hint on who itll be fun for." She bent down. "Me." She whispered in my ear before walking back to her table and sitting down. I closed my eyes, trying my best to calm down. What were they going to do to Dianne? I could no longer focus on my art work, only focusing on how to protect Dianne from the two witches and their friends. I was brought back to the real world when the bell went. I packed my stuff up, walking to ICT.

When I got there I saw Dianne and smiled. I sat down next to her, logging into the computer.
"Hey Joe." She smiled, kissing my cheek.
"Hey baby." I smiled, glancing down at her.
"Hey Joe, have you seen Melony today?" Jack asked.
"Shes in my art." I said. "She told me that break would be entertaining for her and Scarlett but not for us. I have a feeling theyre going after Dianne." I put my arm round her shoulders protectively.
"Then I get we have to show her that we are just stronger then them. Right?" Jack said and I nodded.
"I wont let them hurt you." I whispered, kissing her forehead. Dianne nodded, the both of us continuing with our work. Luckily the atmosphere got more light hearted when AJ cracked a joke, making all of us laugh. Jack laughed, kissing him gently before we all calmed down. These were the moments I enjoyed. Where we were all care free, laughing and just relaxed. However what was going to happen next was about to change everything about this day.

Joes POV

The bell went and we all walked towards the canteen. We sat down, everything seeming normal at this point. All of us eating and joking around. I smiled, talking to Caspar about a show we had both been watching. We stopped when the whole canteen went silent. We looked towards the doors, seeing Scarlett standing there with Melony.
"Whats happening?" Dianne whispered as I pulled her closer. Melony looked over at me and smirked.
"Protecting your girl?" She smirked, everyone glancing over at us.
"Lets just say she'll need it when everyone finds out what shes done." Scarlett smirked. I stood up and walked over.
"What is wrong with you." I snapped.
"We warned you." Scarlett snapped before the two girls walked round me, heading towards Dianne.
"Im sure most people are familiar with Joes girlfriend Dianne." Melony said.
"What are you doing." Josh whispered.
"Shut it." Scarlett snapped before letting Melony continue.
"Lets just say shes not all that she seems." Melony continued, having everyones attention at this point. Dianne tried to walk over to me however Scarlett held her back. "When she lived in Australia, where she shouldve stayed, Dianne decided to murder her mother." She smirked, the students all gasping.
"No I didnt!" Dianne protested, Scarlett shushing her.
"Then why is she dead?" Melony snapped. "The school have let a psychopath in. Why should she say here?" She said, Dianne closing her eyes.
"However thats not all." Scarlett smirked. "We believe Dianne has been corrupting her new friend Lauren. Shes been fighting with her mother a lot. What do you say Lauren? Any plans on killer her yet?"
"SHUT UP!" Josh stood up, slamming his hands on the table. "These girls have done nothing to you." He continued. I walked over, pulling Dianne away from the two, pulling her into a hug. "You know Dianne didnt kill her mother, stop twisting the story to have everyone turn on her. You have no right to bring Lauren into this either!" He said. "Trust me, I advice you both go." He said, Lauren standing up.
"Before I let this get physical." She said.
"Oh please what could you do." Melony smirked, gasping when Lauren punched her in the nose.
"I can do that." She smirked, looking at Scarlett. "I have another one ready for you if you dont get out of here." She snapped, the two girls looking at her.
"Oh youve only made it worse." Melony laughed. "However would mummy care if you went home crying to her?"
"Would you care if daddy stopped giving you a monthlt allowance to buy your love?" Lauren snapped, Scarlett gasping. "No? Well then I guess you run along." She sat back down, watching the two girls slowly walk away. I sat down, Dianne crying into my shoulder.
"Hey its alright." I cooed, playing with her hair gently, trying to sooth her.
"T-they all know." She sobbed.
"They know, but they know youre not a psychopath." I whispered, holding her close. "I promise you Dianne. Youre not a psychopath. What happened wasnt your fault and anyone that believes them is stupid." I said. She sniffed and nodded, wiping her eyes.
"I love you." She whispered.
"I love you too." I cooed, taking out my phone and messaging my mum what happened. "Ill take you home." I said, grabbing our bags. "Thanks guys." I smiled at Lauren and Josh.
"No problem." Lauren smiled, resting her head on Joshs shoulder. I put my arm round Dianne, carrying our bags as we walked towards the reception. We walked in, my mum walking in not long after. She walked over and hugged Dianne tightly.
"They're horrible horrible girls." She whispered, Dianne nodding. I signed Dianne and myself out before we walked to my mums car. Dianne didnt say anything, staying completely silent.
"Joe are you okay if I go back to work?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yeah that's fine."
"Just message me if anything else happens." She said as she dropped us off.
"I will." I smiled, getting out the car. I took Diannes hand, both of us thanking my mum before walking inside. As I closed the door, Dianne broke down into tears, crying into my shirt.
"Hey hey." I cooed, picking her up and carrying her upstairs. I sat down on the bed, rubbing curles on her back and playing with her hair as she cried. We didn't say much else, I just sat and conforted her knowing thats what she needed at that moment. I suddenly broke the silence. "Why don't you go take a shower, go change into something more comfy." I whispered, kissing her forehead. She nodded, getting off my lap and walking to her room before walking to the bathroom.

Diannes POV

This had to be the worse day. I turned the shower on, undressing before getting in, letting the water run down my body. Everyone knew. Everyone knew about my mother. I sat down, silently crying into my hands. I soon got back up, taking deep breaths as I washed my hair before washing my body. I turned the shower off, getting out and drying off before getting dressed. I dried my hair before throwing it into a mesdy bun. I walked into Joes room, smiling brightly when I saw that he had made his bed into a fort. He opened his arms and I happily accepted the hug, leaning against him as we lent against a mountain of pillows. He pulled a blanket over us, looking down at me with a sweet smile. He kissed me gently before pulling away. He was being so gentle. It was possibly the cutest thing ever. I smiled, resting my head on his chest as he drew circles on my hips with hid thumb.
"You alright now?" He asked quietly and I nodded.
"You always make thing alright." I said softly, kissing his cheek. He blushed a little.
"I just realised youre wearing my hoodie." He mentioned. It was my turn to blush.
"It smells like you." I giggled, hiding my face in his chest.
"Its cute. You look good in it." He said, holding me closer if that whay physically possible. By this point I had forgotten about everything that had happened at this point. Right now it was just me, Joe and one giant pillow fort. Could anything be better?
