C h a p t e r 6

Hae Ra's POV 

So Luhan ran away after saying that he would be coming over tonight. Now it was really strange because he was acting like the old Luhan. Well I was happy but confused at the same time. And it was already 8:00pm but he wasn't here yet.

Well, did he really mean it or it just one of his pranks? I didn't care either way because I was clearly going to ignore him when he was here. Did he really expect me act normal with him after all the things 

I mean, I was not a toy that you play when you want to play. I wasn't something that you ignore when you find a better replacement. I was busy talking myself when the doorbell rang.

It must have been Luhan. Suddenly, my heart started racing. Ugh why? I thought I had already given up on him. Well yeah, It wasn't easy to forget you first love whom you've loved for 3 years. But no matter what, I would never, ever let him know my feelings for him because in the end, I was going to be rejected and that was end.

I heard footsteps coming closer to my room and I didn't even bother to go downstairs. Like I said, I would be ignoring him. IGNORING HIM. I quickly grabbed a book from the book shelf so I could distract myself. 

The door of my room open, revealing Luhan. It had been awhile since I saw him in a casual outfit. OMG, he was freaking hot! But I wasn't going to fall for that. I needed to ignore him to come inside. But I never did.

I could see the frown on his face. I didn't know why, but I was feeling really happy and evil. Huehuehue. Suddenly, he closed the door harshly after walking to my side to sat beside on my bed.

"Hi." He said with a poker face. "Hey." I replied, not shifting my eyes from the book I was reading. "Are you trying to ignore me?" He said and he was frowning.

Hell yes. I'm not trying, I am ignoring you, idiot.

"Nope." I said whilst still looking at the book which I was only staring at, barely reading anything. "You are. What happened to you? You've been acting strange today. You didn't even glace at me during class today."

Oh. So he does realize I always kept on stealing glances at him during class. And yet he never returns them. "Luhan, do you really want me to put all my attention to you and stare at you all the time during classes? I have better things to do you know."

"...Let's just stop talking about this." Luhan said with a frown on his face. "What shall we talk about Luhan?"

There was a moment of silence between us.

"See? There's  nothing to talk about anymore Luhan. Everything has changed. You have changed." Suddenly the door of my room opened. It was none other than my mom. "Kids. Dinner's ready. Come downstairs. "She said with a smile and closed the door afterwards.

I got up from my from my bed and went to the door. "Come downstairs. Mom's waiting." I said before leaving the room and shutting the door.

Luhan kept staring at the door with a blank face. After staring for a while, he covered his eyes with his palms. His lips curled up into a small bitter smile. Everything's messed up." he said as his smile faded away.

Luhan went downstairs towards the dining hall and saw Hae Ra sitting there, blankly looking at the food. As he stepped into the hall, his eyes met Hae Ra's. She quickly looked away as she didn't want to make aye contact.

Luhan suddenly felt a sting in his chest area. It pained him. He sat beside her since it was the only seat left since the others were occupied by her parents.

"Oh Luhan! When did you come?" Hae Ra's dad said, looking at Luhan. "Hello uncle, I just came awhile ago."

"I see. I used to see you often everyday. Now you barely visit us. Did you get new friends and forgetting our Hae Ra?" Her dad said, laughing afterwards. Silence spread across the whole dining room. None of them spoke because the two of them knew what her dad said was somewhat true.

"Uh, so. How's school?" Her mom asked awkwardly, smiling in order to break the silence.

"Good." She replied. She quickly finished her food and got up from her seat. "Mom. I'm done. Luhan I'll see you tomorrow." She said and walked upstairs without waiting for a reply.

Luhan eyed Hae Ra as she walked upstairs without baring a single glance at him. He kept on staring on Hae Ra when a voice interrupted him. "Uh, Luhan-ah. It's getting rally late. I think your parents will worry. You should go now."Hae Ra's mom said. "Yes aunty." Luhan said as he got up from his seat.

"I'll be taking my leave now." He said with a weak smile and left the house. Hae Ra's parents already knew something was really fishy between the two of them.

Luhan got out of her house. He reached the street and looked back at her house with sad eyes. He went back to his house and rushed to his room frustrated. He dialed a number. It was Xiumin, his bestfriend.

"Hello?"

"She hates me now."

"Who? Wait... Lu?"

"I knew she was being serious when she confessed to me. I knew she liked me since middle school. I just thought everything would be normal, she starts to ignore me. She hates me. She doesn't want to talk to me. And now she's already got a new guy. That Oh Sehun."

-Silence.-

"Lu? You there?"

"I want her back."

"...Do you like her?"

"But I like Ji Eun-

"Are you sure?"

"... I didn't know."

"But you have to know Lu. If you don't then even think to have her back

"... I have to think."

"Then think. It's late. I'm going to sleep now. Bye."

."Bye."

Luhan is lying down on his bed. And started to think.

Hae Ra's POV  

So Luhan went back to his house. I went to my room. I am now lying at my bed. I closed my eyes trying to get rid of all thoughts of today. When I successfully got rid of all the thoughts and was about to drift off to my beautiful dreamland, the door bell rang.

My eyes automatically shot open. It was friggin' 1 am and the bell rang. Could it be a robber? Or a thief? Or It's... Luhan? I quickly got up from my bed and ran downstairs. I saw my parents lazily walking to the door rubbing their eyes.

How could someone be so calm when there was somebody ringing the door bell st friggin' 1 am in the morning? I hid behind my mom when my dad opened the door. My dad slowly opened the door, revealing three people.

And one of the three seemed familiar to me? Too familiar to my liking. My eyes widened when reality hit me. What the fuck was the jerk doing in my fucking house at fucking 1 am in the morning?!
