The two males had been driving for around twenty hours. They were exhausted, worried and Grayson's shoulder got worse than it was before. He just couldn't understand how he was in this terrifying and confusing situation.

It all felt like some Wattpad story cliché. Each moment that passed was agonizing for them. They simply wanted to find her, safe and sound. They were hungry and sleepy, it had been nearly a day and they knew that driving around with no idea of where she might be wouldn't help at all.

They needed any clues they could get and they weren't gonna find anything this way. Grayson finally decided to turn back home where he could maybe find any evidence of who could have taken her or where they went.

Shane felt utterly frustrated and got out of the car, slamming the door shut and running a hand through his curly hair. "This is getting us nowhere!" He yelled at Grayson who had gotten out of the car and was walking towards the doorstep.

"You think I don't know that?" He answered softly, knowing Shane wasn't the kind to explode like that over anything but looking down and stopping in his tracks.

The blood that had once been in the steps were completely gone, no sign of them ever being there and a note hung from the door. 'I feel like playing a game. I wonder, who did that blood belong to? :)'

Grayson ripped the note off but Shane had stood next to him long enough and had read the note. "Maybe she's just messing with us" He suggested, after all it was her handwriting. But even as he said that, he wasn't convinced himself. He just wanted his friend at ease for a few hours, at least long enough for him to eat and sleep for a bit before restarting their search.

"It's not her...I know it isn't" he mumbled, hand moving up to his own shoulder to rub the burning mark subconsciously. He tried to will himself into talking to her through their minds even though he couldn't. His heart was beating harder against his ribcage as he looked at the crumpled note in his hands. Someone wanted to play which meant it was probably an enemy of his.

Who would hurt Audrey? He thought of a lot of people that were clearly capable of hurting both of them, but there was too much people, possibilities and endless motives. Before the two had moved in together they didn't exactly work for kind people. They would both take odd jobs that would often end up ruining other peoples lives. One of those times in a risky job which consisted of stealing an item from a person who was considered dangerous they were discovered.

The person had exposed their identity and many people found out that they had also been screwed over by them. Grayson was the son of a family considered to be royal and even though he didn't really consider himself a part of it, not taking any of the riches that he could have, no one dared to directly mess with him.

Audrey however was not of much importance but after their identity were discovered she would often taunt those who she stole from and that made people develop huge hatred towards her. Everyone knew that Audrey was Grayson's only weakness. She was the only way to break him.

There had to be something that could narrow the list down, and for all he knew, this could even be someone he didn't remember which made this all the more complicated.

Jake. It could be him, after all he was in love with Audrey and sure as hell hated Grayson but then again they never thought of him being capable of kidnapping her, much less playing games with it. Shane paced the room, looking around for anything that could hint that someone had been there and tampered with anything but he didn't live here and the house was always messy on the weekends so he couldn't tell if it was signs of force or usual messiness.

Grayson let out an exasperated growl and punched the glass table as he thought of what to do. "We need to find Jake. For all we know he took her and is playing a stupid damn game with us because of jealousy" he decided and stood up, snatching the keys from the floor where he had dropped them.
