Day Sixteen... Convinced (Tuesday)

"Is that-"

"Yep."

I grin as my brother follows Adam into the coffee shop.

"Hey Keith!"

Adam greets happily.

"It's great seeing you again."

"You too. I was wondering when you would drag my brother here."

"I don't know why he doesn't want to."

Adam smiles and shoots a look over his shoulder at Shiro.

"I don't want to because my brother is a demon."

"Just because I won't give you a discount."

He frowns.

"I live with you. I deserve a discount."

"Give up Shiro."

Adam rolls his eyes and pulls out his wallet.

"Two espressos."

I enter it into the register as Pidge starts making them.

"You both are plain and boring."

"It's not much better than what you order."

Shiro mumbles.

"Here you are."

Pidge hands the cups over and Adam hands one to Shiro.

"So."

She says leaning her elbows on the counter.

"Are you two together or something?"

Shiro's eyes go wide as he almost spits his coffee out. Once it's swallowed he coughs loudly. She grins and we share a look before Adam speaks up.

"Not yet."

He says under his breath so only me and Pidge can hear.

"I'm waiting for this guy to make a move. Which he sucks at doing."

We all watch as Shiro hits himself in the chest to clear his throat as he continues to cough.

"Yeah, good luck with that."

I say looking back at Adam.

"The guy is a total dummy when it comes to this stuff."

"Clearly."

(Authors Note: Can I just point out that Shiro is choking on burning hot coffee. I didn't think about that until reading it now. I guess he's just havin a hell of a day.)
