i wake up in a room that smells like flowers. i remember what happened last night. i look over next to me, no clementine.

i put on my pants and walk downstairs to find her eating cereal and watching tv on her couch.

"hey."

"hi."

"when'd you wake up?"

"half an hour ago. you were still asleep."

"why didn't you wake me up?"

"cause you looked happy when you were asleep."

"oh. i'm getting cereal."

"you do that."

i went to her kitchen and grabbed some cereal. i walked over to her couch and sat next to her. she was watching spongebob.

"aren't you a little old to be watching spongebob?"

"fuck you, i watch what i want. and put on a shirt."

"why?"

"cause."

"no."

"whatever."

we're 10 minutes into watching plankton attempt to steal the krabby patty recipe when we hear a knock on the door. she gets up and opens it, leaving me no time to run upstairs. just incase its her parents.

but its not. its michael.

"clementine, why is calum's car-"

he sees me shirtless on her couch eating cereal.

"what are you doing here?"

"he slept over."

"what?! did he touch you?!"

"no, i let him sleep over."

"what?! why?!"

"because he was tired and because he's my bestfriend."

"you guys didn't do anything, right?"

"nope."

"where did he sleep?"

"in my bed."

"what?!"

"what? it gets cold downstairs. and haley's room smells like ass."

"where's curtis?"

"with my parents in new york with haley."

"why didn't you go?"

"i didn't wanna go."

"why?"

"because i don't find new york amusing."

"oh well then uh, why is calum shirtless?"

"it gets hot at night."

"i asked her you asshole."

"shut up michael. it does get hot at night."

"did he touch you in any way at all?"

"no michael! we just shared my bed. no touching. just sleeping. not that kind of sleeping. like just tired sleeping."

"where'd you guys go last night?"

"that's for us to know and you to find out."

"just tell me clementine!"
