I remained confused throughout the rest of the college day.

"Did you see Caz at all, today?" I had my hand in a bag of 'Doribo' crisps, as I walked alongside Luke. Caspian had already taken a taxi back home.

"Well, yeah. But, his eyes were glued to his phone."

"He's been doing that a lot lately..."

"Yeah! I wonder what's so interesting that he ignored me for the whole of lunch!"

"Sorry about that, I was doing basketball."

"That's understandable, but ignoring one of your best pals while he's glaring at you and trying to get you to reply to his texts, is not okay!! He was sat directly opposite to me!! That is not acceptable."

"Woah... Calm down." I laughed at Luke's seriousness and dramatic body language. "We'll just have to wait until Caz opens up about it. I'm sure he's got a solid reason for how he's been acting."

"If you say so... Actually, I've been thinking. Could Caspian be talking to a girl? I mean; I don't know why someone would want to, but it's the only reason I can think of as to why he's been acting the way he is."

"Don't be silly. He doesn't even know that many girls."

"True. Very true." I could see all the little cogs working in Luke's head, as if he still wasn't satisfied.

But, there is something strange about it... It's completely unlike Caspian, even since the accident.

Even when we got home, something was off. There were one too many cars parked outside the front of the mansion.

A car that I recognized instantly.

To confirm my suspicions, I looked in on the sitting room to see Caspian with his sister- Francesca.

At the sound of the click of the door, she turned to my direction, and Caz copied.

"Edward, wait-" she spoke, but it was too late, I had already ran up the stairs to bury my face into the safety of my bed.

Why is she here?!

After yesterday, how can she even have the audacity to turn up here without a warning?!

I wanted to scream into my red duvet and let the covers absorb my nervous sweat. But there was no scream. I just lay there in exhausted silence.

Fran is here. Fran is here.

Without hearing the door open and close, Caspian came to be standing at the side of my bed.

"I'm not talking to her. (Signed)."

"What the heck has gotten in to you?! She came all the way over here!! I'd like to say that it was to see her younger brother, but it was actually so that she could talk to you. (Signed)." Caspian began tugging on my arm. "My sister wouldn't do this for just anyone. So, get over yourself and man-up. (Signed)."

"Wow! You guys look ridiculous." Luke strutted.

"SOS. (Signed)." Caz begged Luke, as I was still firmly attached to my bed.
