Hard to Get

Chapter 4: More Clingy?

Tyler's POV~

It was the next day after Jacob's warning. I didn't think it was possible, but Axel was even more clingy then usual. At first he was a flirt, but now it seems he's obsessed. He stills flirts a lot, but he doesn't leave my side. He even follows me into the bathroom. I mean, A LITTLE PRIVACY PLEASE!!!

Anyway, I was onto my next class when all of sudden Axel picked me up and held me like a rag doll. He took my bag and threw it on his back and carried me to my next class. I sat down in my chair with Axel giving me a loving smile. I look at him annoyed waited for the teacher to get here. I don't know what caused this, but I want to find out later. Right now, only me and Axel were in the classroom.

As I waited, I felt myself getting picked up. I was placed on Axel's lap as he tried to lick my cheek. (The situation going on in the picture) I was pretty much fuming and trying to make sure I don't get licked. I saw Jacob come in and he looks at Axel with a small smile and he said "Well, you're really clingy." Axel just glared at him and said "Screw off and leave us alone." Jacob just chuckled and asked me "So, how's your day, Tyler?" I breathe out a sigh.

"Well besides having an over-affectionate wolf hugging me, I'm okay." I say trying to get a reaction out of Axel, which I didn't get as he continued to nuzzle into me. Jacob then says "You should probably let him down, the teacher's going to be in soon." Axel again glared and said "Mind your own damn business, you stupid cat." Jacob just chuckles and sits down.

The teacher comes in and looks at me and asks "Ummm. Tyler, why is Axel nuzzling into you?" I just struggle in his hold saying "I don't know. He's not usually so clingy." The teacher then says "Axel, you need to let him go." Axel just looks at the teacher and holds onto me tighter. The teacher then says "Fine. You can hold him until class starts." Axel lightens up and I tell him "You're such a spoiled pup." Axel's tail wags as he says "I know." So we stayed like that for a few minutes before class started. Even though I practically had to claw my way out of his grip.

So class started and like everyday school, it was boring. I ran to the roof after grabbing my lunch. I see Jacob there and I head to his side and start panting. He then asks me "No one is after you, right?" I then say "No, no ones after me." He then says "Good, but why were you running?" I then say "To escape the grasp of the one headed Cerberus." He then laughs and says "Yeah, though it's probably my fault he's like this." I look at him confused and ask "How would you be responsible?" He then says "Well, at the end of the day, you should ask him."

It doesn't take long for Axel to reach the roof and tackle me into a hug. Every once in awhile, he would glare at Jacob before nuzzling into me again. I look at Jacob as Axel sits me on his lap and ask "So, how've you been today?" Jacob just shrugs and says "Same thing everyday." Jacob then smirks and asks Axel "So, how's things been going with you?" Axel just gives him a short glare before nuzzling into me again.

I have to say that him being this clingy is starting to get more annoying than it already is.   I opened my lunch box, but before I could grab my fork, Axel takes it and stabs a piece of chicken and brings it up to my face. He tries to feed me it, but I really didn't want to be fed. I tried to grab the fork out of his hand, but Axel didn't like that idea. Since I really had no choice in the matter, I opened my mouth and Axel fed me with a blush and a smile on his face.

Jacob just sat there the whole time, looking like he was enjoying the predicament I was currently in. As I finished off my food, Axel handed me a boxed lunch and said "Your turn~" I rolled my eyes and pushed it towards him and said "I'm not your damn babysitter. Do it yourself." Axel just does as told and pouts a bit. "You're mean, Tyler." I just smirk a bit and ask "Whoever said I was nice?" He pouts a bit more after my comment before eating his food.

I tried to get up out of his lap, but he just pulled me back down and hugged me. I then ask him "Why are you so clingy?" He just licks my cheek and said "Because I love you." I then told him with a straight face "You being clingy isn't going to get me to like you back. And I already said multiple times that I-" he cuts me off and says "I know, and I'm determined to change that~ So until then, you're going to be my little pup." The rest of lunch was just this, me being held on Axel's lap. Sometimes, I looked at Axel's tail and watched as it wagged back and forth. It was strangely hypnotic.

Soon, the end of the day came around and I reached my locker. Axel was there waiting for me to grab my stuff. I quickly grabbed my stuff and head out. Axel was right beside me and I ask him "Again, and tell me the truth, why are you so clingy? Don't say it's because you love me because I know there's more to it than that."

He sighs and asks "Want to head to my place? I'll tell you there." I look at him for a short while before nodding my head. I take out my phone and quickly text mom, telling her I was going to spend the weekend at a friends. I walk with Axel to his bike as he hands me a second helmet. I put it on and he gets on the bike after putting his helmet on. I couldn't help but wrap my arms around him as he drove. Sometimes, he'd move fast on purpose, just to get me to hold on tighter. And I could sense the smirk on his face every time he did. We finally reached his house and head inside. As we did, I saw a female wolf sitting on the couch.

I ask him who she was and Axel just says "That's my sister Alexa, but she just likes Alex for short." I make my way over and introduce myself. She smiles and says "So, are you the boyfriend that Axel's been talking about?" I then ask "Boyfriend?" I look at Axel in disgust and ask "You're not a damn playboy, are you? Because is if you are, your chances just reached the negatives."

He waves his hands in defense and says "No, No, It's not like that!" Axel then had to explain to me how he lied to his family saying that I was his boyfriend. Of course, I should've expected this to happen. Alex was pretty mad at first, but eventually calmed down. He grabbed my hand and took me to his room. I sat on the bed as he did the same and he said "So, you want to know why I'm so clingy?" I nod my head and he sighs. He then said "I'm sorry, but I eavesdropped on your conversation with Jake. When he said that he was going to protect you, I decided that I didn't want that."

He hugged me close and continued. "I want to be the only one to protect you. I don't want anyone hurting you, and just the thought of that stupid cat being there when I'm not is enough to make me insane." I nod my head and I told him "Even if you really love me that much, you shouldn't have abandoned your friends. I can understand you ignoring the girls, but abandoning your friends is a bit too far. Don't worry, you can still stay with me at lunch, but keep talking to your friends. That will reduce the chance of me being jumped, okay." He nods and I nod too in approval.

I just remembered it was Friday, so I had to stay here with him. I looked outside, but it was already too dark for me to go back home. He then pinned me down with a smirk on his face and said "Well, since we're here, how about we cuddle. For a very, very long time." I wanted to say no, but it seems like he wasn't going to take no for an answer in this situation.

He started to rub his face on mine and hug me tightly. I tried to escape his grasp, but he was too strong. Eventually, I got tired. I waited in his arms as he called a Pizza Hut to deliver our dinner, so I just waited here in his arms for our dinner to arrive.
