adele steps inside the small room, greeted by a handful of crew. she was already nervous as it is to talk on the radio, but the extra amount of people watching her could've been enough to push her over.
despite her nerves, she remained calm, folding her shaky hands together and managing a smile, "hi."
nick grimshaw flashes her a comforting smile, "welcome! it's nice to meet you."
"it's nice to meet you, too." she smiles in return.
"second guessing, number three on the worldwide charts!" the crew begins to clap, "how are you feeling?"
the nervous girl could only smile, "it feels great. i never thought this would happen."
brandon, watching her from the flatscreen tv placed in the center of the living room, takes a small breath.
she looks like a nervous wreck, he thought to himself. she hadn't spoken to him in a few days, and he could only imagine it was because of his absence when she was in los angeles.
the guilt hit him even harder when he opened the package. he found himself missing her more than he already had since the first day they met.
"is that adele?" nick asks curiously, sliding onto the couch beside brandon.
brandon doesn't respond, though nick continues to watch. he sighs, standing from the sofa and making his way into the room, her delicate voice haunting him throughout his journey.
he pulls out his phone, taking a few seconds before clicking on their messages.
