brandon frowns down at his phone, swiping out of the conversation and turning the device off.

"what's the fuss about?" edwin asks, looking up from his phone. brandon glances at him, taking a second to mentally question how the hell he always knew when something is wrong.

"nothing." he murmurs in response, a mixture of both annoyance and curiousness laced with his mumbled words.

"nah, tell me." he insists, sitting up from his lazy position on the bed, "is it about that girl?"

brandon caves in, "she left me on read."

edwin's concerned expression eventually disappears, and instead replaced with a smirk, followed by a laugh. "you serious?"

narrowing his eyes at his friend, brandon crosses his arms. "alright, don't even say anything."

"what? not used to girls leaving you on read, brandon?"

"i said not to say anything." he huffs at the taunt, shaking his head as he stands. "then you wonder why i don't tell you things."

"stop overthinking everything!" edwin calls as brandon makes his way to his own bedroom. "watch, she'll text soon."

have been battling divorce

it's been hard for my mother so naturally she found herself in drugs. i've been trying to go back & forth helping her out and making sure she's stable
