Chapter 8

Hiccup's POV:

"To go to berk." I said to Raven, there was a silence but there was a smile creeping in her lips,

"Y-yeah, ah think am ready." She said, I gave her a look that said 'think?', she look at me and saw my look,

"Ok, I'm ready to go." She said giggling, I smiled at her,

"But let me have word with violet for a bit." She said as she stood up, I nodded, she and violet walked away from me and talked, few seconds later Raven took the last raw fish she caught and gave it violet before she darted towards the foggy forest, then Raven walked towards me with a smile pasted in her face, I smiled back,

"So?" I asked,

"So, let's go." She said with a smile, my insides cheered, we prepared our things, actually she prepared her things while I prepare toothless for the flight, as I ready toothless I saw Raven picked up her bow and her quiver that was refilled with good, clean, new arrows, but when she bent down to pick up a few arrows that fell down, there was an object that I haven't seen from last week till a while ago but now, it was a necklace, it was a bow with an arrow latched to it, she stood up, leaving her necklace visible in her chest,

"C'mon, let's go!" She exclaimed with a smile,

"But what about your dragon?" I asked when I stood up,

"Oh she will stay, ah let violet tell her that ah will be ou' with yeh, besides, mah dragon noos abou' yeh" She replied, I gave her a look that said 'what?',

"Besides! We practiced this whistle that can be heard as far from here to berksoletsgocmon!!!" She said as she ran towards toothless, look whose excited,

"Ah noo tha', so just leave meh bee." She said, wait did I just said that out loud?

"Aye, yeh did." She said as she hop on toothless, I think I did it again,

"Climb aboard dragon rider!" She said when she's already sitting on the top, I rolled my eyes playfully, and hop on toothless, who shot up after that, Raven told me that her accent kicks in only when she's excited, sad, nervous, annoyed, happy and most of all angry, toothless lead us away from mysterious island and raven's unrevealed dragon, in our middle of our flight I asked Raven about the necklace,

"So about that necklace?" I asked, she hummed in response,

"What about it?" She asked,

"Where did you get it?" I asked again,

"Oh, it's from my real mother, mum rose told me that my real mum gave this to me." She looked sad but she continued,

"Mum rose told me that, my real mum told her that dragons are dangerous and they have to keep me away from them because they might hurt me. And I think it is just a lie." She said,

"What makes you say it's a lie?" I asked once more,

"Hiccup, I have been living with dragons for 20 years and I even raised one, head father dragon even took me in when I was still 5, you don't know him though and they didn't hurt me." She said giving me a point there,

"Ok." I said when I understood.

Third person's POV:

Hiccup and toothless, along with Raven, continued to fly towards berk, the island that just bathed with the sun's lights and warmth, toothless landed safely on the ground in front of hiccup's house with a lot of people walking by,

"Chief! Your mother was looking for you everywhere!" A man said, it was bucket,

"Oh, uh tell her I'm right here." Hiccup said, bucket nodded not noticing Raven behind hiccup, when bucket left to look for hiccup's mother, hiccup relaxed,

"There take a good look on this place, this is berk." Hiccup said gesturing to the small village,

"Wow." Raven breathed after she peeked behind hiccup,

"What happened to that?" She asked pointing at the huge ice spikes,

"Oh, that is when we defeated the black bewilder beast and claimed toothless the new alpha." Hiccup replied, Raven's eyes went wide,

"So yer meaning to tell meh tha', tha' is the black bewilder beast's ice breath?" She asked, hiccup nodded,

"Cool." She muttered enough for hiccup to hear, he chuckled, then suddenly a woman popped out from nowhere, it was valka,

"Hiccup! Where have you been?!" Valka said as she ran up the stony stairs and towards toothless,

"Well I, uh, went out, you already know that." Hiccup said as he rub his nape,

"Well you usually tell me when your going out, you got me worried sick when I saw your empty bed, I thought you were kidnapped or something!" Valka said as hiccup climbed down from toothless and they hugged, valka looked up to see Raven,

"Whose this?" She asked after they pulled away,

"Uh, mum, this is Raven." Hiccup introduced, valka took a look at her and shook her head,

"Hello, I'm Raven Rohkea, hiccup here talked to me a lot about you, Raven said as she held her hand out, valka stared at her again before taking her hand,

"Valka haddock." She said as she shook raven's hand with a small smile,

"You awfully look like hiccup, it's like I could be mistaken you two as twins, aside from Ruffnut and Tuffnut who are the only twins in this island." Valka said followed by a nervous, fake laugh, hiccup smiled at Raven who smiled back,

"I know right, it's like, you know, weird." Hiccup said happily before smiling again at Raven, once again, valka stared at Raven, starting from her face then down to her neck, hung a necklace bearing a familiar pendant of an arrow latched to a bow, valka's eyes went wide and gasped,

"Could-could it be?" She asked as she stood straight, the two teens looked at each other confusingly,

"After all these years? Raven?!" Valka continued,

"Yeah, uh, that's my name, I just mentioned it a while ago." Raven said as she climbed down from toothless, now toothless is between the two teens, valka went towards Raven and went forward slowly reaching her to touch her face, Raven took steps back trying to avoid her,

"Just a question..." Raven said as she bumped her back softly on the house behind her,

"But do I really need to know you?!" She continued as she shut her eyes, valka stared at her once more, Raven slowly open her left eye as valka put her hand away,

"N-no." She said nervously, Raven looked at her, two eyes open, waiting for another answer, valka looked at hiccup who have a questionable look then slowly looked back at Raven, whose eyes went wide after what she said:

"But a mother is alway guilty for giving her child away."

Hey guys!! Am so sorry fer the late update, please don't hate meh! Am so sorry ah didn't tell yeh guys the reason why ah updated late, yeh see ah have tons of assignments, a project, a report, a research, ah even go' a party planned since August 29, so ah wasn't given any time, am sooooo sorry!!!! Please don't hate meh!!
