Chapter 2

Hiccup's POV:

The monstrous nightmare kept glaring at Raven, till it roared, I ready my sword and went in front of Raven,

"Raven, stay back!" I said to her, she looked angry too as she glared at the dragon,

"No, YOU stay back, I can handle this." She said in a calm voice but in it there is anger, she pushed me away and stand in front of the MND (Monstrous Nightmare Dragon), I stared at them curiously,

"Wha' do yeh want thes tym?!" She demanded at the dragon that it huffed smoke out from its nose,

"First of all, don't yeh EVER do tha'! Only toothless can! And second, win do yeh have the right to judge meh?!" She said, the MND roared at her face,

"Head father dragon passed this island to MEH. YOU have the right to follow MEH! Not I have the right to follow YOU!" She shouted at the dragons face, the MND roared again,

"Well it's no' meh fowlt tha' yeh have to scream and lure him here!" Raven replied, the MND roared,

"It's because yeh were in me path!" She shouted, the MND growled and left, I was stunned and kept staring at them, until a question popped into my head,

"Uh Raven?" I asked, she turned around and faced me angrily,

"What?!" She demanded, look who still upset, I put my hands up for defense then she calmed down,

"What?" She asked again but this time calmly,

"Can I ask you a question?" I asked again,

"Yeah." Was the reply,

"Who was that and how do you know toothless' name? Even though I didn't tell you." I asked, she sighed,

"The monstrous nightmare's name is violet, and I know toothless' name because he told me." She continued, I looked at toothless, he nodded, when I turned back to Raven, she was shaking his head, and murmuring no a couple of times, she was staring at the forest as she do this,

"Uh, Raven? Is there something wrong?" I asked her, she looked up to me,

"Nothing!" She exclaimed, it seems that she's hiding something,

"Can I look around your dragon? If you don't mind." She asked,

"Oh, yeah, sure!" I replied, she went to toothless' side,

"Hey, toothless. Wings?" She talked to toothless like as if he's a person, toothless obeyed Raven and opened his wings, she checked it,

"Not bad, teeth?" Toothless dropped his wings and showed her his toothless smile,

"Where is your teeth my friend?!" She exclaimed, toothless showed his teeth this time,

"Huh, intractable teeth! Amazing!" Same reaction as mom's, and speaking of mom, Raven look a LOT like her, her face and her eyes,

"Look, I got to get going. It's getting late, my dragon might come and go looking for me. It's nice knowing you Hic!" She called and left, running for the forest not even bothering to bring a torch with her,

"Man this place is even creepier in the night." I murmured to myself, I shivered from the cold wind that was whispering creepily in my ear,

"C'mon toothless, let's get out of here, this place is giving me the creeps!" I told toothless and I hopped on him, we flew away. When berk emerges, we landed quietly because the people were all sleeping, we quietly walked to my house, careful not to wake anyone up, we went inside, first I motioned cloud jumper to be quiet, mom's dragon, then I went up the stairs, past dad's room which is now mom's, and went straight for my room, I let toothless and me in and I closed the door, I slid down to the floor, leaning on the door, and I sighed, I don't know where my mom is cause she wasn't in her room when I walked by, then I heard something,

"Where have you been chief?" I looked up to see my mom on my bed looking at me, with a face of a smug,

"Uuuuh, I went out, you know that already." I said, she stood up,

"Ok, but I was getting worried, so is Astrid, she went looking for you the rest of the afternoon, I let her rest and assure her that you were coming back." Mom said to me as she place her hands on my shoulder, I was feeling guilty,

"I'm sorry mom." I replied, she smiled, I smiled back,

"Ok, now get some sleep, you still have to explain to Astrid tomorrow." Mom said as she starts her way for the door,

"Goodnight mom." I said not facing her,

"Goodnight chief." She said before I heard the door closed, I jumped on my bed, and face plant on the pillow, then I laid on my back and stared at the ceiling, toothless went beside my bed and licked my face, I looked at him with dragon slime dripping from my face,

"I'm alright bud, and I know that your curious on how did Raven understand you." I said to him, he nodded,

"Let's ask her tomorrow then." I replied, patting his head with my right hand and wiping the slobber off my face with my left. Toothless walked to his bed and we both went to sleep.
