He stared up at the ceiling and tried to swallow the tightening in his throat, the emotion threatening to explode out of him as he draped an arm over his eyes, feeling sick. Instead of saying what he wanted to say, he simply said, "I tried, Steve. I can't anymore."
He didn't look up to see if Steve had left or not. Instead, he closed his eyes.

Hey, everybody! New story that will have slow updates. I already know this will be slow, but bear with me. This is the sequel to Opposites Attract, going off of the same AU written before.
Warnings: This book is slightly more mature than the first one.
Language is roughly the same (hell, damn -- the rest starred out)
Some violence in some chapters, as well as some mental strain -- and I'll put warnings before the chapters that include those things.
As usual, this is a Steve x Bucky fiction, none of the characters belong to me except for a handful of pre-existing characters (Atticus is mine, for example, not Marvel-based) These characters belong rightfully to Marvel.
