+Thank you ahead of time for reading this chapter! This is my first story and I put years of thought and a lot of heart into finally writing this down. And ever since, the ideas have been flowing none stop. I've been creating tf out of things, sketching, writing and researching. I hope those of you who want to write get inspired and don't ever give up! I have three notebooks worth of ideas and this is just the beginning! There is so much to come in this adventure!
But first, of course,
you always start at the very beginning.

This is the start of my story, at the very very beginning of it all.

Much like our very own Genesis. +

In the boundless dark, there were millions of stars as far as the eyes can see. Deep space looked incredible, filled with colorful gases within glittering nebulas. The Universe was brand new and was filled with immense amounts of raw energy.

And it was creating.

Within one of these interstellar clouds of dust and gas, was a clump that was growing and changing, drawing in heat. The universe poured it's essence into that mass. Taking time to complete itself, the clump had absorbed enough. It reached soaring temperatures and ignited into a nuclear fusion. Revealing a star to be set aflame for eons-

A Sun star.

With time, this newborn sun pulled in debris and bit by bit created 9 planets. Together these celestial bodies flowed in harmony, orbiting around the Sun. The source of all this energy or "magic" was an enormous mass of pure creation, illuminated in white light with flickers of colors, radiating outward into space. This great mass was far bigger than the Sun. And it is called:

The Great Universal Flow.

It was a culmination of raw space. Where all energy flows from and returned too. In this vast expanse of a new solar system, the Flow let out it's first "lives" or better to explain - beings of harmony. It let out nine souls made of the Flow itself. This was the first time something with a consciousness existed. Though it's a mystery whether the Flow itself has one and why it created the things it did.

These nine "souls" then took hold to each a planet, causing them to change. Their atmospheres became wild due to the amount of power they each held. The celestial beings settled, after filling themselves within the planet and laid dormant.

And for what purpose? They did not know. The Flow did not speak. All they knew was that they protect the Flow and will be called upon when it's time. What seemed like millennia had passed, until it was one of the nine spirits time. The smaller of the nine awoke. Surrounded by the gleam of the stars, shimmering gas clouds, and the other eight dormant planets.

"Mhhhm..." the Spirit groaned, noticing his echoing voice throughout space.

"Ahh..." He let out another sound, surprised. The Spirit sensed around and noticed the Flow, feeling warm and smiled.

"Come.. " Said a voice, low and vibrating, throughout his consciousness. It was the Flow that had just spoke. The Spirit made his way closer to the Flow, and piled himself before the swirling source of light.

"Form..." whispered the Flow. Suddenly colors of all shades began illuminating from the Spirit.

When the light cleared the Spirit had formed a humanoid body with two arms and two legs. His form was no longer a ball of raw soul light. The young God looked at himself and stared at his fingers and toes. Looking back up to the Flow after taking in himself.

"Why am I awake?" "...The others?"

"You.." replied the Flow slowly.

"...Just me?" He asked, trying to find a proper answer. Why not the others? Why him? Why now? Was something going to happen? Many questions kept coming to mind but the Flow wasn't speaking to him anymore. He blinked a few times, confused and not satisfied. He looked around, eyes shifting from one planet to the next, which held the other sleeping Spirits inside. He turned to where he was just resting at. It was a planet smaller than most of the other planets.

'Just like me' The God thought to himself.

He had no idea what he was supposed to do, or why it was just him. He really wished the flow would answer. It had not left him with anything to go from.

The young God tried to find things to do now that he wasn't lying dormant. He helped energy flow from and to the great mass. Balanced the unfinished reaches of spaces. Fixed stars that were going to burst. A lot of time passed with him doing this alone.

It was very silent in all this space. The only sounds the God heard were the occasional debris and asteroids crashing past one another, or the super loud pop of stars imploding then bursting. He was beginning to find this loneliness crushing. Displeased with the fact that he can speak but nothing ever replied. The stars didn't speak, the space rocks didn't vocalize. Nothing around him had a consciousness or a voice and it was maddening. The God tried many times to speak to the dormant planets but never heard anything back. And many times tried to plead to the Flow with no success. The God wanted to know more about himself and his role within the universe. To know he wasn't alone in it too. He detested the thought that, this is what eternity was looking to be like for him. He shivered to himself just imagining that.

More time passed and the young God had finally got fed up. He made his way through space to where the Universal Flow lied. When the God was before the Source he exasperatingly began to cry and plead.

"Why did you do this to me!?" "Why have you cursed me to this solitude?" "Do I serve no purpose!!?" He screamed the last part. That was what bothered him the most. Fearing that in this void there is and always will be just him. That he was just destined to fade away in time, not knowing of anything else and never hearing another voice. The young God wanted so much more out of his existence. He felt that there was countless experiences he has yet to have. He wanted to learn and grow, but there is no one and nothing around.

"I- I just... don't want to be alone anymore..." The God admits weakly, hanging his head in his hands. Tears escaping down his glowing face.

"it's time.." Asked the familiar low voice. The God looked up, eyes wide. How long had it been since he's waited for this? For a response from his creator! And 'ready?' ?

"Oh Creator, please tell me! What purpose do I have in this galaxy? Will you awaken my brothers, -or my sisters, finally?" He tries to get all his burning questions out but the Flow sends a whip of light at him, slapping him in the forehead. He looked up in disbelief and hushed his mouth, rubbing the spot on his face.

"Ready?.." the Flow asked. The young God didn't know what it had meant by that. But all he knew was that he doesn't want things to return to the way they were.

That dreadful eternal silence. He bit his lower lip, clenching his fist.

"Yes. I am ready." He answered, bowing down before the enormous mass and then rising back up.

"Begin." At that moment the Flow shot a ray of white light into his chest, sending him hurtling backwards towards his planet.

The Flow had gifted the lonely God  with powers to creation.
