"so, how's your vacation?" i looked at yuri while she's talking. "i heard na you've guested sa isang show with hoshi."
i nodded. "yes. naging close na rin kami ni hoshi hyung."
"well, that's great! you're so famous na. akalain mo 'yon, pati ba naman sa pledis university may mga kaibigan ka na!" she proudly said as if that's her achievement. that made me smile. yuri really appreciates me with everything that i do. that's why she's a very special girl.
pagkapasok namin sa classroom ay agad naman kaming pinagtinginan. i just ignore them at sabay na kaming umupo ni yuri sa magkatabi naming upuan. kasabay no'n ang pagpasok ng subject teacher namin.
"so, for today, you will have a project and you need a pair for this." our teacher said and i heard so many rants everywhere.
parang tanga lang? first day na first day, project agad. mukhang excited na excited 'tong mag-compute ng grades namin, ah.
"shh, quiet!" pagbabawal nito.
"pst, woojin. please be my partner." rinig kong bulong ni yuri sa akin.
"ayoko nga." at saka ko siya ngisihan. pinalo niya naman ako sa braso dahil doon at napatawa na lamang ako ng mahina.
"and i will be the one that will choose your partners."
another round of rants coming from ny classmates and i just sighed.
the teacher started to call the pairs for the project.
"woojin and..."
bored akong napatingin sa teacher nang tawagin niya ang pangalan ko. yuri will be my partner anyways. i can feel it.
"...chaewon."
napakunot ang noo ko dahil sa narinig ko. did i heard it wrong?
"woojin and chaewon. you're partners."
napatingin ako kay yuri na mukhang gulat at disappointed dahil hindi ako ang ka-partner niya.
but, who's that chaewon anyway?
