"Babe I'm nervous." I tied my hair up into a slick ponytail

"For what though Li." He laid back on the bed watching me as I got dressed

"Because I've haven't seen or heard from my brother in God knows how long and all of sudden he wants to meet up because of Ashley." I sighed tiredly

"Maybe he seen you on the red carpet with me." He shrugged

"Maybe but that has nothing to do with him." I slicked rolled my eyes slipping on my slides going over the bed and straddling his lap

"Gimme a kiss and fix ya face." He placed his hands on my ass

Leaning down to peck his lips multiple times I got off lap and blow out a breath

"Everything going to be okay mama."

"I hope so." I said more so to myself

"I love you." He said first

"I love you too. I'll see you when I get back home."

"Aight and be safe." He kissed me one more time before I left

Getting my Uber to the address Elija sent me this morning I caught myself bitting at my nails which was a bad habit and instantly took them out.

Seeing that the Uber was pulling into a park my mom used to take us to as kids I raised my eyebrows in shook we literally haven't been here years.

"Thank you." I said before getting out of the car

Walking into the park I seen him on a near by bench waiting for me.

"Hey." I smiled as I got closer to him

"Wussup." He got up and hugged me

"What made you want to meet here we haven't been here in forever." I chuckled a little

"Clear my mind this the only place I could think of being happy and carefree." He pulled at his beard staring off at the kids that was there already playing.

"Remember you broke your arm?" We both chuckled at the childhood memory

"I was hardheaded Ma told me to not climb on top of them monkey bars."

"And you did anyways and fell straight off." I laughed making him straight face me

"Your ass started crying because I was crying shut up talkin' bout bubba are you okay." He turned up his face mocking my crying face

"You're annoying." I pushed he shoulder as we both laughed and eventually calmed down and got quiet

"You think I deserve everything that comes my way?" He asked "You know she found out she was pregnant and I don't even know if it's mine." He licked his lips as he was venting "She been doing this since high school I didn't want to see that shit but you always told me."

"You know I'll never stir you in the wrong direction Eli you're my big brother I want to see you happy. Just like I want you to see me happy."

"I know that's why I kicked that bitch out last night." He said but you could hear the hurt in his voice

"Don't call her out her name even though she is one. You know dad would flip shit if he heard you call her that."

"I seen you and your nigga too." He pointed out making me side eye him "Don't give me that look I don't got nothin' against him if he make you happy then I'm aight wit' him." He said making me happy and do a little dance in my seat
