You are sitting at the centre work station and you can't stop glancing at the unconscious Alexander Marcus who is hocked up to the ventilator. You are interrupted by a text message from your brother that reads;
Tommy: can you give me an update I'm on my way Chicago
your heart drops because you have to tell your brother that the man that basically adopted you both is in bad shape so you decide to reply with the text message;
(Y/N): he has had a catatonic seizure and he is currently in serious condition
"(Y/N) are you ok?" doctor Charles asks as he walks to the centre workstation
"no Daniel I want to be left alone for a while to gather my thoughts," you reply
"ok then well remember I'm just trying to help," Doctor Charles says with an understanding tone
"thanks for the offer though," you say
"sorry that's my brother," your message tone goes off and he sent the text;
Tommy: is Alex stable?
you reply with the following
(Y/N): he is but that might change so I wouldn't get your hopes up
"anyway let me know if you need any help," he says
you don't say anything because you know you will get help when you need it but not just from Doctor Charles

three hours later and you have just finished assisting Connor with an emergency chest surgery and you are about to enter the staff rec room when you notice a familiar face sitting with Alexander. You decide to visit while you wait for the results of whether or not the surgery was successful or not.
"Hey Tommy," you say to announce your arrival
"sorry I wasn't here sooner I was assisting a colleague,"
"that's fine, it's good to see you again (Y/N)" he replies
"I just wish it was under better circumstances," you say
"anyway I'm just waiting for some results then my shift should be done and we can get something to eat,"
"ok that's fine, there is someone at the door," he says referring to Will standing at the door
'"what can I do for you Doctor Halstead?" you ask as a colleague
"Connor told me to tell you that the emergency bypass he did was successful and he couldn't tell you himself because he was busy with another patient," Will says filling you in on the situation
"ok well my brother Tommy an I are going to go to Molly's if you want to join us" you offer thinking you should invite Will
"yeah sure I'll see you there," He says
