The next morning, the family headed back to the cricket grounds to watch the day's play. Bea hadn't slept the best. Tossing and turning about her conflicting feelings between loyalty to her brother and her feelings for Gavin. She felt like she was going to have to choose her brother because there was no way Bea was putting a guy before herself and her family, again. However, part of Bea wanted to see if Dan could change his mind and learn to see Gavin as more then an opponent. With her head in the clouds, Mum suddenly nudged Bea as the first ball of the day was about to be bowled.

It wasn't long until Dan was retired from the play by the coaches, he had made enough runs and needed the rest.

During the lunch break, Dan was being interviewed by the commentators. He was certainly doing his hometown and family justice. Bea was sitting up in the box eating lunch and watching the interview when a barman came up to her with a CC Dry with Lime.

'Miss Rogers?' He asked holding out the drink.

'Yes, but I didn't order a drink.' She replied confused, looking around to see if her Dad or Mum had ordered it but they were nowhere to be seen.

'No, this is from 'G', there is a note as well.' The man says smiling, obviously, he knows who it is from.

'G?' Bea questions, taking the drink and note.

'Mr Butler asked me to be discreet.' He whispered.

'Oh, right thank you.' She says still confused setting the drink down as he walked back to the bar.

Bea opens up the note and it reads;

From me to you, B. Here is the drink I owe you but I'd still like to get one together one time, you can even pay if you want - G

She could feel her cheeks redden. Dad walks over.

'I didn't think you wanted to drink today?' He asked sipping his own beer.

'Uh, well I just changed my mind I guess. Got sick of water.' Bea replied taking a sip of the refreshing drink.

She opened her phone and send a message to Gavin.

Bea: You seriously didn't think that was going to work?

Bea turned off the phone and return to eating lunch but almost instantly got a reply.

Gavin: I thought it was a pretty good way of getting around your terms.

Bea: I wouldn't have thought of it. Not a bad job, I guess :P

Gavin: Any tips for getting your brother out Boxing Day?

Bea: Isn't that your job?

Gavin: That is true, surely you've got some tips for me though? You would have bowled to him lots over the years?

Bea: Not since we used plastic bats and the wheelie bin for the stumps.

Suddenly Bea hears that play is starting again on the TV.

Gavin: Gotta go, glad you got your drink :)

Bea: Thanks, good luck, you're gonna need it ;)

Eventually, the rest of the Australian batting line up was bowled out and England started their run chase. They needed to make 487 runs before all their players were bowled out and risk that run tally going up again. Dan was on the outfield on the boundary. It seemed like he had a few new fans, kids getting him to sign their hats and ABC Cricket Journals. Something he used to get the players of the past to do when they came to watch.
