Ethan threw his head back, sighing. "I'm going out for a drive..."

Alex put his paper back down. "She'll be okay... right?"

"Yeah. Don't... don't worry," Brandon mumbled, going upstairs.

This is all my fault.

I did this.

She's in the hospital because of me.

She walked onto that road because of me.

I made her life miserable.

"Jayden... you should rest," Alex said.

I numbly went to my room and wen to my bed. I didn't want to do anything at all. I didn't want to speak at all.

Why did my dad keep this a secret from me?

"Can we ask some questions?" The doctor asked Ethan.

He nodded. "Of... of course."

"We could see evidence of self harm. Were you aware of that?" Dr. Seril asked.

Ethan sighed. "Yes..."

"She's also lost a drastic amount of weight. Do you know anything about her eating habits?"

"She... starved herself," Ethan said.

"Do you know anything about her past experiences with mental illnesses? We looked at her past records and were informed that this wasn't her first time. Do you know anything?"

Andrew spoke up. "Her Dad told me she was, um, depressed... and she also had—"

"Social anxiety," Alex cut in. "And..."

"Anorexia? Bulimia? He didn't really specify." Andrew finished.

"Both," I mumbled, making everyone turn to me. "Struggled with both... starved herself one day... made herself throw up another..."

"How do you know?" Dr. Seril asked me.

I stared at Evanna. "Because I was there..."

He cleared his throat. "I was informed that she tried attempting suicide and ended up here, is that right?"

Ethan nodded. "Yes."

"How long have you known that this was going on? Were you aware?"

Brandon looked down. "We were all aware..."

"This isn't her first time, correct?" Dr. Seril asked.

"Third time," I whispered. "This is her third attempt..."

"You seem to know a lot about her," Dr. Seril said. "Do you know when it was?"

"January 14, 2017..." I muttered. "July... July 7th, 2016..."
