The memories that haunt me
I turn them into poetry
My pen retracing every step
Transforming darkness into beauty
I hide all of your vicious crimes
In the rhythm of each thought-out line
They won't hold me back anymore
I'd rather turn them into rhymes
Your brutal words held me for ransom
But now I weave them into stanzas
And piece my heart back together
Until your memory dissipates like a phantom
