'Thomas Lund added you on Messenger!'
What should have been an ignored message became all nighter conversations that I took like a drug.
He was my drug, he distracts me from my problems, he makes me happier and for a while I loved it.
Until I didn't...
Tapping my pen on the desk, I sighed for the nth time wanting to leave this place. School wasn't much and the same boring routine frustrated me.
I want to explore what's out there and be free to live the way I want to, not be stuck in a room doing the same thing over and over again for the rest of my life.
Brrr brrr
My phone vibrated in my pocket, indicating a notification. 'I forgot to turn off my mobile data, now I probably lost half of my mbs now.' I mentally face palmed myself at how dumb I was.
'I'll check it out later' , I thought to myself as I turned off my phone.

Walking towards the station, I plugged in my buds and listened to music. 'I feel like I'm in a music video,' I thought with Highs & Lows blasting in my ears as I looked up into the sky.
The view made my chest tighten. It looked so beautiful yet so sad. I wonder what the people in those buildings are going through right now. Do they have a great life? A life of freedom? Are they content with their riches and fame?
I snapped pictures along the way home, bumping into a few people who cursed at me for 'not watching where I was going'.
With my eyes up ahead, I slipped into my personal bubble.
'Olivia Ruby has a nice voice.'

Kissing my parents hello, I headed to my room and throwing my bag somewhere in my room and falling on my bed.
Ahh, the comfort of your home. I checked my notification bar and saw an odd one out.
'Thomas Lund added you on Messenger!'
I don't know anyone by that name, maybe a school mate that I don't know perhaps? Why would they even message me?
I checked my inbox and saw his message.
-Hey
Deciding I didn't have anything better to do, I accepted it.
