Hey, so I've decided that this is the last chapter!! I'm so sorry to disappoint and all, but please check out Code 8, it's an OC cop drama (with some gay) that I'm writing with PhyerJynx and we're super proud of it so far!!

On his account we're also working on a Dan x angel!reader, but it has slow updates.

I also have The Deal, posted every Monday that follows Dan as a mobster and (y/n) a new hire. It's SUPER dramatic for all the thirsty people out there, and there's more drama to come.

Painted Smile is uploaded every Wednesday, and the beginning is rather dramatic, but trust me it gets better :P.

Lastly, to replace this on Fridays, I'm starting a Phil x Reader!! He needs some love too!! It's a soulmate AU I'm relatively sure I made up. So please send that love as well.

That's a lot of plugging.

WHoOpS.

But *whispering* for those of you who like Supernatural there's something for you in the future ;)

Plus I've got a Voltron (Harry Potter AU) Lance x reader.

Okay I'm done plugging in promise.

Enjoy~

(Y/n)'s POV

The smell of popcorn was honestly starting to make me sick and the movie hadn't even started.

"Thank you to all of our amazing cast and every single person who put all their time and effort into this movie, a big thank you to writers like (y/n) (l/n) and Meghan Davis who even helped in production with actors, directors, everything like that. Without further ado, please, sit back, relax, and enjoy the movie!!" I felt sick to my stomach and gripped Dan's hand.

What if the movie turned out shitty and flopped?! My name would be all over the papers and I'd probably get fired. Critics are CRITICAL. I let out a breath and Dan squeezed my hand gently.

"Are you alright love?"

"Yeah, just nervous," I said, glancing at Meg. How could she be so damn calm right now? The director said her name too. My face flushed uncomfortably as the lights dimmed.

I placed my head on Dan's shoulder, my face still hot and bothered. The intro began playing, panning on a girl, short of breath and shaking, smothered with dirt, looking scared out of her mind. That girl really was a great actress.

The movie played for a little while before the scene came upon her male counterpart, stumbling into her hide out after being on the run. She hissed at him, and they shared a short fight, even though they didn't know each other's names. I glanced over at Dan, who honestly seemed enthralled in the simple plot line.

He must just be shocked I wrote this.

As the movie progressed, it held the whole theater in suspense, a monster lurking nearby. The main girl kept her eyes shut tightly, holding her breath, pressed up in a tight space with the main male lead. The monster passed and they glanced at each other, red in the face from embarrassment of the close proximity and the recent scare.

I laid close against Dan for most of the movie, and once the credits rolled, the audience erupted in applause. I glanced as the director looked out to the crowd from his spot in the front, glancing at up. Dan stood up, walking towards the mic.

I froze.

What was he doing?

"Now most of you may not know me, but I'd like to say a few words about a writer, my girlfriend, of the film you just watched."

What the fuck?!

He gestured for me and I stood up awkwardly. The director wasn't stopping him?! What the hell was going on?!

"The amount of effort gone into this movie is honestly so baffling to me, and I can't tell you how many times I came home from the store to find (y/n) sound asleep with her computer open going over the script, or how many times she came home late from a long day on set. Everyone on set is so hard working, and that's what I admire so much about you (y/n). Amongst so many other things."

He wasn't--

"So, in honor of the release of the film you put so much heart and soul into, I wanted you to do me one more honor..."

He--

My eyes widened and my breath hitched, watching him kneel. No fucking way.

"Would you do me the honor of marrying me?"

I stood there, my hand cupped over my mouth, in shock. So much so I didn't realize the small tears that were escaping my eyes.

"Y-yes!" The whole crowd erupted in applause and he stood up, letting me hug him, my tears now in his shirt. I couldn't have expected him, Daniel James Howell, to orchestrate something like that.

"God you're such an idiot," I said, watching him slip the ring onto my finger.

"Wow thanks," he said and I just hit his shoulder, hugging him again. "Shall we go to dinner to celebrate, fiancée?" I nodded, wiping at my eyes and admiring the wonderful ring he had placed on my hand.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

We shared a short kiss as we walked out, Meg running up to say congrats, and I had never felt happier.

"Being up in front of all those people like that reminded me of high school," Dan laughed and I smiled.

Just like High School.
