Chapter 10- Billy's Powers

The next morning at seven, Zuveron silently got out of the bed and got dressed in the closet in Natalie's bedroom. He put on his blue hood and light brown leather pants. He kissed Natalie on the forehead before he left. Zuveron closed the door silently and went downstairs and knocked on the guest room door. Billy heard the knocking and yawned,

"who is it!?"

"It's your father"

Billy said "Go away! I want to sleep in!"

Zuveron replied, "I came here to give something to you"

"Alright" as Billy was coming towards the door, Zuveron put out his hand and a cactus in a pot appeared in his hand. Billy opened the door, he said,

"What's the cactus for?" 

Zuveron replied, "umm.. it's a home warming present"

Billy took the cactus from Zuveron, it disintegrated into ash. He looked down at the ash in his hand,

"What the hell just happened?!"

Billy walks back in his room and Zuveron shuts the door. Billy looks at his hands,

"What the hell did I just do!?"

Zuveron walks closer to him,

Billy puts his hands up,"I don't want to hurt you"

Zuveron pointed to his bed with his palm, "sit, I have something to tell you"

They both sat on the bed and Zuveron said
"You can't hurt me, I'm a god" he puts his hand on Billy's shoulder, "you are my son, which makes you a demigod"

Billy looks at him with a raised brow. He stands up, "what?! how!?"

Zuveron stands up, "it's complicated, that plant isn't why I came, I came because I need to see what you are capable of"

Natalie wakes up and puts her hand where Zuveron slept. She got worried and got out of bed and got dressed. Natalie wore a red dress with the necklace that Mitus gave her during the first ogre attack. She closed the door and rushed downstairs looking everywhere. Natalie went to the nearest knight and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around,

"What can I do for you your majesty" he bowed down.

"I have a quick question, have you seen my husband?"

The knight replied, "I saw him earlier, it looked like he was going to the guest room" he pointed to where he went

Billy said "what do you mean? to see what I'm capable of what?"

Zuveron replied "I meant that you are capable of many things. You are half-god, which means you have powers too. When you turned the cactus into ash, that was just the beginning of your journey. Come outside with me and you will learn how to use your powers for good"

Billy nodded "ok, I want to learn more. Give me a second, I need to change" he walks into the closet and Zuveron stops him,

Zuveron said "wait, you can get changed out here, you can just do it with the snap of your fingers"

Billy snapped his fingers and nothing happened. Zuveron said "ok, you can change in the closet." He came out ten minutes later wearing a faded red shirt and a blue cape,

"Let's go dad"

They both walked out the door of the guest room and Billy closed it. Zuveron and Billy were walking and they bumped into Natalie. She said

"Zuveron, I woke up and I didn't see you in bed"

He replied, "I'm sorry, I went to see how our son was doing. He turned cactus into ash and I knew that his powers were beginning. I have to see what his powers is before Maledis gets to him"
