Napaungol ako nang maramdaman ko ang sakit ng ulo ko. My head is throbbing like hell na para itong binibiyak. In my 18 years of existence, ngayon ko lang ito naramdaman.
Nagmulat ako ng mga mata at bumungad sa akin ang itim na kisame. Ilang segundo pa akong tumitig doon bago ko inikot ang tingin sa paligid.
Napabalikwas ako ng bangon. "Nasaan ako? This is not my bedroom." Kunot-noong sambit ko sa sarili ko.
What happened yesterday?
Pakiramdam ko ay lumaki ang ulo ko ng unti-unting magsink-in sa utak ko ang mga sinabi ko lalo na nang mapatingin ako sa damit na suot ko. My chinky eyes grew big.

Why am I wearing a polo? A men's polo to be exact?
D-Don't tell me? Oh my go--.
"Buti naman nagising ka na." I lifted my head and my gaze went in the bathroom where the voice came from.
Napamaang ako. "Adam?"
He went near me and sat in the edge of the bed. Muli kong iginala ang tingin ko sa paligid. Kumunot ang noo ko. If I remembered it right, the color of his ceiling is blue so how come it became black?
"Where I am?" I asked softly.
"In my condo."
"You change the design of your room?" I questioned.
Pinisil niya ang tungki ng ilong ko. "No. We're at my other condo unit. Samaniego Heights." He said.
He's really rich. Hindi biro ang perang kailangang gastusin para makatira sa ganitong kaeleganteng condo unit. Isama pa ang space niya sa Zephyr Towers na siyang numero unang kakumpetensiya ng Samaniego Heights.
Ah, wait. Samaniego? Hindi kaya?
"Is it Jiron's family who owns this building?"
He nodded. "Masakit pa ba?" Nag-aalalang tanong niya.
Nagtatakang tiningnan ko ito. What is he talking about? Masakit ang ano?
Muling nanlaki ang mga mata ko. "D-Did-did something h-happened between u-us?" Tanong ko sa nauutal na tinig. Hindi ko mabasa kung anong iniisip niya dahil blanko nanaman ang ekspresyon nito.
"What if.." He paused. "What if meron nga? What will you do?"
Natigagal ako sa sinabi niya. Ano nga bang gagawin ko kung sakaling may nangyari nga sa aming dalawa?
Magagalit? Malulungkot? Manghihinayang? Matutuwa?
Pinakiramdaman ko ang katawan ko. Wala namang masakit sa akin.. well, meron pala. Bumaling ang tingin ko sa braso ko. I gasped in surprise. There was a huge bruise there that was very visible because of my pale skin. Nangingitim na iyon.
Pumikit ako ng mariin.
Ano ba talaga ang nangyari?
Paano ako nagkapasa? Paano ako napunta sa poder ni Adam?
Then something boomed in my head. Mula ng makita ko si daddy sa coffee shop. 'Nung pumunta ako sa unit ni Adam. 'Nung dumiretso ako sa Serenity Bar para uminom at makalimot. 'Nung makita ko si Kristoff at pinilit niya akong isayaw. Hanggang sa dumating si Adam at iniligtas ako mula sa mga kamay ni Kristoff.
I swiftly opened my eyes and my gaze went to him who is now staring at me intently.
He saved me. Again.
I shook my head. "Nothing really happened between us, right?" Naniniguradong tanong ko.
I know he's not that type of person.
I heard him exhaled a heavy breath. "Yeah."
"Y-You're the one who c-changed my clothes?" Hindi makatinging usisa ko.
"I hope so. But no. Don't worry. Pinsan kong babae ang nagpalit sayo. She's also the one who treated your-your bruises."
Did I heard it right? He hope so? Oh geez! Pakiramdam ko pati dulo ng buhok ko namula sa sinabi niya.
"Thank you Adam." I uttered sincerely.
Kumunot ang noo niya. "For what?"
"For being a knight in shining armor to a damsel in distress." I can't help myself to chuckled because of what I said.
He held my hand and intertwined with his. "Yeah. You're my damsel in distress." Parang nawala ako sa sarili ko nang ngumiti siya at lumabas ang dimples niya sa magkabilang pisngi.
Shit! Ang gwapo!
"You should smile more often." I told him.
"Why?"
"Lalo kang gumagwapo tuwing ngumingiti ka." Naitakip ko ang kamay ko sa bibig ko.
Did I just told him that he's handsome?
Oh my gosh! I'm doomed!
He smirked. "So you find me handsome huh?"
I just rolled my eyes at him upang pagtakpan ang pagkapahiya ko.
Tumawa siya bago muling nagseryoso. "Will it make you happy if I smile frequently?" He said as he kissed the back of my palm. Parang may mga paru-parong nagkakagulo sa sikmura ko dahil sa simpleng paglapat ng mga labi niya sa balat ko.
His steel blue eyes was staring at me like I'm the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. And it made my heart went wild.
Wala sa sariling napatango ako. And because of that, his million dollar smile appeared again in his lips.
"Okay. For you, I will."

"Where are we going?" Sinulyapan ko si Xenna bago ko ibinalik ang atensyon sa pagdadrive.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Just wait and see."
Tumahimik na ito at hindi na nagtangkang magtanong pa. Tanging tunog lang ng radyo ang maririnig sa loob.
We stayed in my unit for few hours before I asked her to come with me somewhere else.
I held her soft hand and intertwined with mine. I didn't release her hand even if I was shifting the gear.
It's her hair and her eyes today that just simply take me away
I glanced at her again. Sinabayan niya ang kanta. I didn't know that she has a voice.
And the feeling that I'm falling further in love makes me shiver but in a good way
All the times I have sat and stared as she thoughtfully thumbs through her hair
As she purses her lips, bats her eyes and she plays, with me sitting there slack-jawed and nothing to say
I didn't know the song. But as she sang it, it feels so right as if I've known the song for a very long time.
