I wrapped my legs around Daniel's lower back as we entered the room kissing passionately. When he placed me on the bed and removed his shirt, I sat up.

"I can't do this."

"Yes you can, baby." He mumbled kissing my neck and lowering his body over mine.

"I can't." I pushed him off of my and rested back on my hands, while he stood over me. "Daniel, I told you I had feelings for you and you shot me down. Now you want me to take you back when it's convenient for you?"

"I'm not doing the shit because it's convenient for me... Kaidyn, I love you. I've been in love with you since you were sixteen."

"Then why can't we last? It's always the same, we try and fail, try to move on but end up back here. I don't want to go through the heartache again."

"You won't." He kissed my lips, crawling on top of me. I believed him, at this point I didn't have any other choices.

"I missed you so much."

He was removing both of our clothes, as I spread my legs watching him, and anticipating his next move. "I missed you too."

The feeling of him inside of me was much more intense than when we were younger. He seemed more experienced and aggressive. I submitted to every sexual act and even felt things I never thought were possible. I was making love to a man who loved me, and never planned to stop.

Chantel informed me about a party she was throwing for Marcus and Daniel. I agreed to attend, but didn't tell her that Daniel and I had worked things out. I called Arlo, to postpone New York, but it seemed like he was avoiding me. I would call but he wouldn't answer, and I even sent multiple text messages.

Finding a dress for the party was the easiest part, but trying to convince Daniel that we would arrive separately, was not happening. I didn't want anyone to think we were dealing with each other while he and Jelly were in a relationship. His response was no. Either we would attend together, or we wouldn't go at all.

Chantel was practicality glowing when she answered the door. "Kaidyn!" Her hug was strong and warm. "I've been waiting on you, what took you so long?"

Daniel locked his fingers between mine and Chantel's eyes widened with shock.

"When did this happen?"

I shugged, walking farther into the house, before Marcus called Daniel over. "I'll be right back, baby." He kissed my cheek, leaving me with Chantel.

"Uh, Kaidyn... can you start explaining?"

"We're a couple again."

"I can see that... but how? I thought-"

"They're not together anymore"

She crossed her arms and eyed me. "I'm happy for you! I knew you two would get back together. It's nice to know that the bond Marcus and I have inspired you." Chantel was obviously joking, trying to hold back a smirk.

"Thank you, Chantel. How's Marcus?"

"He's been under me since he got out." She laughed, watching them converse from across the room.

"What's so funny?" Dria asked, wrapping her arms around the both of us.

"Dria, when did you get here?" I turned to her with a smile.

"I just made it. Cam is trying to find a place to park. It is packed in here, Chantel."

"I don't even know half of these people."

"Where's Sky?"

"With my mom. We couldn't have her around all of these people, especially with Marcus drinking."

"He already looks full of it." Dria chimed in, shaking her head.

"Whatever, what do you plan on drinking?"

Dria instantly became uneasy and gave us both looks of uncertainty. "I can't drink."

"Why? Do you have to work tomorrow?"

"No, I just can't."

"Well I am." I placed my hand on my hip, glancing around the party.

"What's going on with you?" Chantel asked Dria, looking at her suspiciously.

"I think I'm pregnant?"

"What?!"

"Keep it down.. I didn't plan on telling you until later."

"You're keeping it, right?" Chantel asked, unknowingly hitting a soft spot.

"Yes, I'm keeping it bitch!"

"Congratulations!" I pulled her in for a hug and Chantel followed, before feeling another set of unknown arms.

"What are you doing, Cam?"

"I thought it was a group hug?"

I laughed and gave him a hug before stepping back. "I'm going to get a drink."

Pouring the liquor into my glass, I watched as Dria held onto Cam, like he was a trophy, laughing and smiling harder than ever. Chantel opened the front door to greet the next guests as I walked into the living room, sipping on the alcohol. Her face twisted as she stepped back, placing her hands on her hip. Jahleel gave her a hug, with Jelly hanging onto his free hand. He was dresses like some kind of pimp, and Jelly could have been mistaken for a whore, by the short dress she sported. My eyes wandered to Daniel, who watched the two enter the party. He seemed to be a little tense, never taking his eyes off of them. Marcus was so drunk, he was walking over to them with a Kool-Aid smile, eyeing Jelly. "Damn girl, where the rest of that dress?"

I finished off the liquor and rushed back into the kitchen, to avoid any confrontation.
