ASHTON'S POV:
"Hell no! You'll not go out of this room looking that hot".
I got an instant hard-on just by looking at her. I should control myself the whole night. This is not going to be easy.
"Thank you," she said blushing.
She's not at all helping.
What can I do, she's looking so hot yet innocent in that outfit. How is that even possible. I want her to be mine. She'll only belong to me, my Scarlett.
Yeah, she would be yours. But please don't abandon me, my inner voice begged me.
I can't even if I want to.
Soon after that, we were seated in the limo. She's like a 3-year-old kid who's been given a room full of her favorite candies. She's so adorable.
I snaked my arm around her waist and pulled her towards me.
"Thank you for coming with me Scar. You look gorgeous" I said.
"Thank you. You look handsome by the way" She said lowering her head.
Ohh man, she's trying to flirt with you. Isn't this a miracle? my inner voice said laughing.
I rolled my eyes. Why can't you stop blabbering idiot...
Well, you know I can't keep quiet
I started moving my face forward. She closed her eyes because of the closeness. I kissed her on her cheek. That's all I can do to control myself right now.
She was scarlet red by now just like her name. I love how she blushes for little things.
I chuckled at her condition. I'm affecting her a lot.
After some time we arrived at the event.
"Come on beautiful. Let's go show you off" I said exiting the car and linking my arm to hers.
SCARLETT'S POV:
Guards opened the doors to the event hall as we were near. Ashton didn't show any invitation but the guards opened the door. I was confused, why didn't he show an invitation?
Of course, he doesn't need to show any invitation. Everyone knows who he is stupid!
Yeah, the only reason I get through is that I'm with him.
When we entered the actual room, I'm awestruck. It's amazing, so beautiful. It's packed full of people. All dressed perfectly. The gorgeous women with the perfect part gowns and handsome men with the perfect tuxedos. I just felt like I don't belong here. You can just smell money in the room.
As we passed through some tables, I got quite a few glares from women across the tables. Many I recognize from the 'do not allow back in the office' list Ashton gave me. God, they must hate me right now.
"These are our seats," Ashton pulled the chair out for me and then pushed it back in as I was seated. He takes his chair and scoots closer to mine before taking a seat. Then he places his hand on my thigh.
My words got stuck in my throat. I turned crimson.
I looked around the room and noticed a long runway of sorts down the middle of the room. What's that for?
As if reading my thoughts Ashton answered my question, "For the auction"
Auction? What auction?
Dinner is served. Ashton said that people are paying $1000 for each plate to attend here tonight and I practically spit my steak out. Wow! This plate is worth $1000 freaking dollars. I don't think in all the times I've ordered pizza in the year it comes even close to being $1000. Much less for one freaking plate. Though the steak is wonderful.
After dinner and dessert, Ashton got up and made a speech about the charities. He also thanked everyone for their generosity. He excused himself and left the stage.
When I looked around, I found Ashton was talking to a very beautiful girl, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is wearing a red evening gown with a slit at her thighs in which she looks stunning.
Ashton and I made eye contact but soon he broke it and started talking to the girl.
He's ignoring me. Is he just playing with me? How can he be so casual? Why the hell is it affecting me a lot? He can talk to whoever he wants but why is this unknown feeling?
Honey this unknown feeling is called jealousy.
No, I'm not jealous.
Liar
I ignored both my inner voice and Ashton and walked away from there. When I was walking I bumped into a wall.
A wall in the middle?!?!
Shit...Shit, shit.
"Do you love to bump into me?"
Why always him? Can't I bump into a real wall? It would be so much better.
"Er, no... Why would I? Actually, I was in deep thoughts that's why I didn't see you," I replied.
"What were you thinking deeply?" Ashton questioned raising his eyebrow.
"None of your business," I snapped.
He sighed. "Come I want you to meet someone very important to me," he said.
He must be taking you to the girl. So, he's close to her.
"No, I have to do something," I hurriedly walked away from him without even sparing a second glance. I took a flute of champagne and gulped it down due to nervousness.
"Well hello, beautiful" a guy looked at me from head to toe. He was wearing a blue tux, his hair was brown, and his eyes were greyish blue. But he looks damn cute.
Isn't he hot? my inner voice asked.
Yeah, but not more than Ashton.
Seriously!!
"Huh?" I asked unsurely.
"What happened to you? Is everything alright?" he asked.
An unknown guy is asking me if everything's alright and the one who brought me here is busy with some other girl leaving me all alone.
"Um.. yeah everything's fine," I said.
"Did Ashton do anything?" he asked.
"You know him?" I asked.
"Of course," he said "Do you want to take revenge on Ashton?"
"Huh?" I asked confusedly.
"Yes or no?" he questioned.
"This is the chance, accept his offer. Make Ashton jealous" my inner voice said.
"I'm not sure, um...okay. But what are you going to do?" I asked.
"Just wait and watch honeybun," he said with a wink.
He got hold of my hand and walked in the middle.
"Let's make him jealous," he stated.
"What are you going to do? It will not harm him no? It's only for fun no?" I questioned out of fear.
"Yes, honeybun. Why will I harm him? But we should give him some dose," he said eying Ashton smiling evilly.
"What?" I asked.
This time he ignored me. What is he trying to do? How will Ashton be jealous of me? Did I do the right thing by accepting this stranger's suggestion?
