"All done.", I said closing the first aid kit.
"Thanks!", she smiled.
Opening the button of my blazer, I sat beside her.
"Now tell me, how come you came to my office suddenly?", I asked.
"Oh right! That's cause I was mad at you.", she pouted.
I furrowed my eyebrows,"Why? What did I do wrong, Sunshine?"
She raised her hands and removed her scarf.
"This! What the hell is this, Aaron?", she fumed.
There on her neck was a purple mark that gloriously signified my claim.
Seeing that hickey just flooded my heart with a foreign satisfaction. A feeling that I've never felt before. But then again, with Rachel, I'm feeling things that I've never felt before.
And I'd be lying if I said that this didn't scare the crap out of me.
"I'm asking you something, Aaron!", Rachel said, trying her best to sound terrifying but instead she just looked cute with her nose red in anger.
"That, my Sunshine, is a mark to show the world that you're mine.", I said with a smirk.
But as soon as the words left my mouth, her expression changed and I instantly regretted what I said.
No, I don't mean that I regret that she is mine. I just regret the way it sounded.
I know she have had Nathan claiming her forcefully all those years and I just don't want her to feel that I'm also trying to make her mine forcefully.
"Rach, I didn't mean it that way. I'm re-", I started to justify but she cut me.
"When did I become yours? Cause I don't remember you asking me!", she said with a raised eyebrow and a playful smile.

"So if I ask you, will you say yes?", I asked carefully.
"Depends."
"On?"
"On where and how you ask me.", she said in a 'duh' tone.
Not exactly understanding, I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Rolling her eyes, she said,"Well Mr West, if you'll ask me that question in your office with some cheesy pickup lines, then I sure as hell will reject you. You'll have to put some effort if you want me to be yours."
Her words left me dumbfounded.
"All right then Sunshine, I'll remember your words.", I winked.
Smiling sheepishly, she stood up,"Now Aaron, I'll take you a leave. I've to get back to office."
