Sunset

39 11 11

The Sun deepens the color of the sky,
As it drowns in the watery horizon.

The Sun gives what's left of light,
To the darkening world.

The Sun drips with hope for the dawn,
As the approaching Night draws near.

The Sun gently fades in red and orange hues,
Sparing no effort to kiss its children safe dreams.

The Sun softly swims away to another sky and sea,
To give the peoples of the world life again to rise.

The Sun will come back to us,
Once Night has served its tortures.

The Sun will grace us again with broiling heat,
And melt our nightmares away.

The Sun will shine upon our seas again,
To reveal what lost hope has gained.

The Sun will give light to the lost,
And shed tears upon those taken by the Night.

The Sun will never be forgotten,
Nor will it forget.

The Sun will always rise anew,
Whatever the Night throws.
