Sea Glass

The magic of the sea waters
They take on this trash,

For what once what your garbage
Is now a mermaid's treasure.

Sea glass is a thing to envy,
Here deep in the sea

It reminds us of what we once were,
And all the treasures we left behind.

The stories that the sea glass tells,
Are worth more than gold

To all the mer-folk who find,
A piece of this blessed treasure.

Sea glass is a mystery to us of the sea,
Shining, glimmering, sharp, dull,
Whatever the shape or size.

Those green and blue hues,
They take our attention

And hold us in their light,
For as long as we can look.

Sea glass is our treasure,
To adorn with our pearls,

Worth more than gold to the mer,
What once was forgotten on land.
