SasuHina - "Better Than Me" 2019

Chapter 2

** The morning after **

Naruto: "Hinata!! Hinata wake up!!" Naruto yelled while watching her pale face as the snow, lying in a blood puddle.
He took her to the hospital immediately and went to talk with Tsunade about what happened.

Hinata opened her eyes. She saw everyone around her. It was Naruto, Sakura, Lady Tsunade, Kiba, Shino and Kurenai.
Naruto: "Hinata! Daijobu?? Are you alright??"
But she didn't answer. She just stared at a blank spot not even blinking. Naruto watched her extremely worried.
After few minutes of silence, she then murmured.

Hinata: "M-my father...and..my sister...are ok...?" 
Everybody got really sad, looking away.
Hinata: "... why..." tears fall on her face "...who...who did this?"
Tsunade: "We are not sure but I think it might been .... Akatsuki" Lady Tsunade said. "We will not let things be like this. I promise justice will be made, Hinata." 
Naruto: "Yes! Those bastards will pay for this, believe me Hinata!!" 
Hinata: "Please I would like to be alone."

Everybody's eyes were wide open in shock.
Hinata: "I want to be alone." she insisted.
Sakura: "Okay Hinata. We are here for you no matter what. We love you.." Sakura said.

Hinata remained there, with no reaction on her face, facing the ceiling.

*** On the corridor***

Kiba: "I can't believe this happened."
Kurenai: "I know. They were her only family. Even Hanabi is gone. I can't imagine the pain that Hinata feels right now. She must be devastated..."
Naruto: "Those murderers. Why did they do this."
Tsunade: "Its because of their father. He had a plan to finish their organization and they were not happy about that..."
Sakura: "I really hope Hinata will be okay..."
Kiba: "I am not sure. I've never seen her like this before. "
Naruto: "she needs time."

*** Akatsuki ***

Sasuke: "Orochimaru! Was it really necessary to kill the little girl?" 
Orochimaru: "oh? Does Sasuke Uchiha have a soft spot???"
Sasuke: "You are insane. Don't ever make me do that again. I told you, I don't kill innocent children! "
Orochimaru: "Oh don't rise your voice Sasuke. I don't like it", he activated the cursed mark.
Sasuke:  "Argh... "
Orochimaru: "You are mine. You are under my power and orders. Don't ever disobey me. Do you understand???" his snake neck gets longer and his snake tongue comes out.
Sasuke:  "Tch....not for too long",  he said with a lower tone.

*After a week*

Hinata was discharged from the hospital and walked back home. But her walk was not the same anymore. Her steps were slow and heavy. Her eyes were empty. She didn't blink. She just looked at the ground and walked. People around her were talking to each other...
Person: "Poor girl..."
Person 2: "She is an orphan now....and she is only 14"
Person3: "what will she do from now on".

Hinata ignored everyone. It was like she is deaf. When she arrived at her home the pain took over. She couldn't breathe. After she entered in the house She felt like suffocating Hinata dropped the little meds bag and fell on her knees. She grabbed her head with her both hands and started to panic...crying, yelling, hitting the ground with her fists, pulling her hair off. She was in so much pain that she fainted.

After few hours she woke up, but she stood there lying on the ground. It was already dark as the winter season started. Cold and dark. She had all these memories with Hanabi, flowing. All the moments, the training with her father, his words came back. She didn't even made him proud yet.
She turned her body on one side, while crying. She realized. She is an orphan now. In that moment she gasped as her fragile heart broke in million pieces. She lost it. Her love, vanished, her heart broke, her feelings were frozen. Hinata Hyuuga was dead inside.

Someone knocked at the door, but she didn't move. Then the door opened as a blonde boy entered with a worried look.
Naruto saw Hinata lying on the ground.

Naruto: "Hinata chan.... "
He took a step closer. She didn't said a word. He then stood next to her on the ground.
Naruto: "You know... I somehow understand a part of your pain. I had to take care of myself from the beginning...It was hard not having my parents around while everybody did. But unlike me, you have build memories with your family. Those memories are hurting you, are breaking you." 
Hinata: "....."
Naruto: "Please don't let your heart get poisoned. We are here for you. You are our friend."

Hinata didn't said a word. No tear came out of her eyes. She was like frozen. It was so cold around her. Naruto tried to grab her shoulder but he felt the coldness.

Naruto: "Hinata...chan." His face got so sad, he closed his eyes shedding a tear. He wrapped his arms around her and didn't move.
She was frozen inside. And he knew it.

Little did they know that somewhere in the dark, someone was watching them. A dark soul who was haunted by  guilt. A guilt that left an innocent girl, once a colleague, with no world. Just like it happened to him. Sasuke Uchiha was haunted by the guilt of killing the little innocent girl, Hanabi. That was not what he wanted, but he had no control. He is cursed and for the first time he felt like suffocating from anger for what he did.

Hello! Welcome to chapter 2 of my SasuHina-Better Than Me fanfiction!
As you can see, it started tragic but I promise you it will get better! What will happen with Hinata now that she has no family? How will she cope with the pain? What about Sasuke Uchiha who is feeling really guilty for hurting Hanabi? Will he cope with his guilt?
