February 1 - Dookie's anniversary
While there's probably like five chords used throughout this entire album (and Green Fay's discography in general) that does NOT stop it from being such a damn classic. It's BFFS with Kerplunk and I really respect how it maintained that DIY feel while being signed to a major label and having a bunch of tech on their hands. I love having it there to fall back on and I remember listening to F.O.D. last year in math class almost daily and it never failed to make me smile. Still doesn't.
I'd like to point out that this album is 25 years old. just think about that for a second.
Favorite Track: Pulling Teeth. It's a tough decision, but I feel like this one does an insanely good job of getting into the mindset of someone in an abusive relationship. I adore songs that tell stories like that. I also like the contrasts between its distressing imagery and its calming sound. You could say it's a Walking Contradiction, eh???
Ok fine moving on.

But everything else is great.
Favorite Track: Kiss The Ring. Boy Division comes close, but Kiss The Ring makes like a rebel on horseback going to fucking slaughter whoever's in charge. Plus it's super fun to play on guitar band uses a lot of C chords (which are my favorite) so
