one minute to love (c-clown fanfic)

chapter 8

eunsae tryed not to look at maru.... when she came in to the cafe.... because she knew he will ask her again about the letter.

the cafe was so noisy everyone talking about the end of winter and how they are happy to welcome spring.... except for eunsae who was nervous all the time.... but she was more nervous when T.K (maru's guard and friend) reached her she knew the commander (maru) want her again, T.K gave her some paper from the commander and asked her to answer all the questions from the commander about seohyun and the letter, what she will write? he will knew if she lied or deny it.... and didn't want to expose her best friend.... eunsae thanked T.K and took the paper.... she looked at it.... and she knew that the commander is watching every move or expresion from her...

(I don't know the reason of seohyun's death and that paper was just a friendship latter for me) those are the words eunsae wrote....

eunsae give the paper back to T.K which he give it to the commander, when he was reading it she felt that her heart will fall right now, she was nervous and hoping that by those words the commander will leave her by herself.... she glanced at the commander's table and saw anger in his face when he looked at her and gestures her to come... she excused herself from her friends and walked very heavy steps, she sat down.... full of fear... and sadness... and nervousness .... doesn't leave her....

- you still insisting and denying all this?

the commander looked at her with no expresion, but she didn't reply, so he asked again:

- I tried with you with the good ways because of the emotional situation but with out any result...

eunsae wiped her forhead from nervousness and said stutturing:

- sir.... please i....

- please understand the situation eunsae you have to do this

- but i can't betray my friend

- and i can't betray my job

- what to do?

- give me the latter

eunsae put down her head as an answer, the commander understand her refuse to give the latter, but he give her moment to think again then he stand up saying:

- then wait my punishment

eunsae was living alone in cold dark room they call prison.... she's in jail?! why?!.... just because she's protecting her dead friend dignity....

the dark jail started to kill her... she didn't think that would be the feeling of being locked... when she heared the squeak of the prison door opening she stoped her bad dreams for a moment to see her best friend vicky standing infront of her with a sad smile she huged her tightly.... when she break the hug she saw ray standing beside her sad as well.... ray called her as if they have a borders between them:

- eunsae....

eunsae looked at him with teary eyes, he continued:

- i came here as your friend... and by myself no one told me to.... so will you hear me?!

- yes

eunsae wiped the tears and sat with serious face and looked at ray while her hands in vicky's hands... while he said:

- eunsae my friend i appreciate your courage to protect your friend, and i know that friendship is everything to you, but that not enough to get you out from here.

- that's unfair

eunsae cut his words but he sighed heavily trying to break her stubbornness and said:

- that's the law... and anyway put yourself in the commander's position, you will do what he did... I don't defend on him.... but i defend on both of you

eunsae didn't answer... but she her betrayal for her friend.... no one have the right to know that secret.... she looked at vicky who was agreeing about what he said.... until that day end and eunsae didn't convinced by anything they say.

a week passed and eunsae felt and knew every piece of her prison... and she knew a small truth she didn't know before that the prisoner doesn't wait anything more than his freedom.

- good afternoon

she heared the commander's voice sneaking... so she stand straight and didn't move her lips even a smile of courtesy didn't appear on her lips.... she said seriously after a moment.

- why the jailer have to visit the prisoner just at night? to scare him?.... or to increase there pain and sadness?

the commander was silent for a moment while he listen to her... then he sat infront of her and said:

-I'm not your jailer....

- who are you then...?

- your jailer is your stubborness... but i'm just asking my right to know the truth...

- and me? i don't have the right to ask for my freedom? or because you have the autherity on me you want to break me with it?...

eunsae's tone was too high and the pressure of the jail was clear on her... the commander tried to understand her anger and calm her saying:

- I admit your courage... and i understand your situation that you won't betray your friend...

- that's why you are punishing me with something i did when we first met... and you still... and maybe you want to increase my punishment everytime i insist about my situation...

the commander started to laugh hardly while he listened to eunsae who was very angry and he said:

- i forget what happened between us in our first meeting... believe me

the tears coloured eunsae's eyes while she felt disprate and her courage failed her.... she sighed sadly while she cried and said:

- that's unfair.... you wanted me to kill her one more time.

- eunsae... please... put the emotions aside... because i have to prepare a report about this so fast...

the conversation ended fast... and eunsae living a hell in herself... and she couldn't fight anymore... and she have to give the latter or she will stay in jail forever... but all the things have an end... she stoped her hand from reaching her pocket... and she was in silence so... the commander understand that he failed again... so he get out without saying anything...

the second week was like hell to eunsae in her prison... she was standing by prison window staring at the old bridge talking to herself and to the bridge:

- i lost my best friend and i'm weak... not like you old bridge... i can't stand it anymore, i'm a cowared doesn't have the courage to stay strong anymore...

the commander get back again to stand imfront of eunsae... she couldn't stand more to hear her new punishment... so she give him the latter and said with alittle of courage that she has in her heart:

- i hate you... because you break her peace and killed her again to satisfy your curiosity... she doesn't deserve all that pain from you... and she doesn't deserve all that weakness from me... you need to remember that i won't forgive you

the commander couldn't hide his wry smile while he's looking at eunsae... and held his hand to take the paper and said:

- the world won't stop when you hate me... but it would stop if i didn't care about a truth that i have to know even with force....
