January 8 - Vessel's anniversary
the cure for any pain ever.
I feel like this was a great graduation from their self titled album and pretty much defined their sound. Or one of them, given the fact that this is TØP we're talking about. And although RAB is my favorite overall, I feel like a lot of the individual tracks were improved from their RAB versions. Transitions were more dramatic, instruments were clearer, it just sounded better. It most definitely lives in my brain rent-free.Favorite Track: Ode To Sleep. I love how it can change from those darker-sounding rap parts to lighter "why am I not scared in the morning?" parts.
January 16 - American Beauty/American Psycho's anniversary
I heard someone in the YouTube comment section referred to this as "Mikey Way: The Musical" and I just feel like I should share that. A lot better than Save Rock 'N' Roll in my opinion.
There will never be a day where I don't love the lines in Fourth of July that are "the bridges I have burned light my way back home" and "you're my favorite what if, you're my best I'll never know". Pete Wentz is a damn poet.
if i could walk around in that makeup 24/7 i would
Favorite Track: Twin Skeletons. Novocaine comes to a close second, but GEEZ. Patrick's HARMONIES THROUGH THAT are SURREAL.
January 19 - M A N I A's anniversary
I admit, not my favorite album. I feel like it was a tad bit over-produced, especially on Patrick's vocals. Idk maybe I'm just not a fan of the more pop-leaning direction, but I think it kinda missed the mark.
Favorite Track: Bishop's Knife Trick. I feel like this track is really nostalgic, with the "to the places we never should have left" and broken hourglass imagery and is overall the best written on this record.
