When you fall asleep

You can't control your mind

You can't stop the dreams from coming

Only those outside can

Maybe those you see in dreams

Are dreaming people too

And they can't control their actions

Any more than you.

That scary dinosaur you dream

Could be a little kid

And your worst nightmare

Is a dream come true.

And he rules the world with glee.

Maybe those who die in dreams

Are people waking up.

Maybe those who attack you see

A monster big threat

In dreams, perception.

Simply does not exist

So remember that next time you sleep

And buckle up for the ride.
