For an assignment in Professor Port's class, students were paired up with other students they rarely, if ever work with and you were assigned to work the the prodigy, Ruby Rose. You had 2 hours to hunt down 5 Boarbetusks and report back to the professor. The two of you were making your way through the Emerald Forest, Ruby insisting on leading despite being the younger, less experienced one. You briefly complained, but accepted, using it as a good excuse to stay behind Ruby and get a good view of her butt. You had a crush on the younger girl, but you were very much Tsundere, keeping your feelings inside while acting distant toward the girl your affection.

"Come on, Y/N! I found tracks! The Boarbetusk must've went this way!" Ruby said, waving for you to follow. She had developed feeling for you as well and was hoping to use this class to prove to you she was an impressive, capable warrior you'd love to be with.

"Whatever, brat. Let's just get this over with." You said, looking away. Ruby slumped a little at this, but turned back and continued forward. As she did this, though, you turned back and blushed at her. (I'll follow you, anywhere, Ruby. As long as I can look at that cute tushie of yours.) You thought. Sure, it was covered by her cape and poofy combat skirt, but that left more to the imagination.

Ruby continued ahead and pushed through a couple of bushes to see into a large clearing ahead, gasping in surprise. "Whoa!" She said in awe, seeing a massive scorpion Grimm in front of her, even larger than the one Team JNPR fought during the initiation. "It's a Death Stalker!" She shouted. "We only had to kill a few Boarbetusks! If we bring this thing down, we're guaranteed an A+!" Ruby said.

"Wait, what!?" You asked, pushing beside her and seeing the massive beast in the clearing. "Are you an idiot?! There's no way we can take that thing on!" You told her. (No, Ruby! Don't do it! I couldn't live with myself if you got hurt!) You thought. Your mind was screaming to grab Ruby, bridal style and run out of there at top speed.

"No way! I can do this! We can do this!" She shouted, rushing in, catching the monster's attention. She managed to slash it across the face, before rushing in, spinning like a saw blade, only for the monster to block her attack with its claw and making her bounce off the claw, leaving her open for a solid hit from the next claw, sending her back into a tree, depleting her aura and knocking her out.

"RUBY!" You shouted, rushing in. You stop in front of the Death Stalker and activated your semblance, creating a massive flash of light that blinded the creature, allowing grab Ruby and run back the way you came with plenty of time left before the monster regained its sight.

You soon found another large clearing with a huge flat stone in the center. You sat Ruby on her back, trying to shake her awake. "Ruby! Wake up! Come on, kid!" You urged. (Ruby! Wake up, baby! Please be okay!) You thought, gasping as Ruby suddenly sprung to life, breathing heavily, missing your sigh of relief. "So... You're okay..." You said. (Oh, thank Dust! I was so worried!) You mentally screamed.

"Yeah... I guess I bit off more than I could chew, huh?" She said, laughing nervously.

You were shocked at first, then angered at Ruby's nonchalant attitude. "You think this is a joke!? You almost got killed! I told you that thing was too dangerous!" You snapped.

Ruby was a bit shocked at this, but stood her ground. "Yeah, but we both made it out of there!" She said.

"Because of me! If I hadn't been there, you'd be dead right now!" You countered.

Ruby tried to argue, but realized she couldn't. You were right. "You're right. I'm sorry, Y/N..." She said.

You glared at her a bit, deciding something needed to be done about this. (I'm sorry, Ruby. This will hurt me more than you!) You thought. "You will be." You said, grabbing her and pulling her over your lap, flipping her cape and skirt out of the way.
