Because who wouldn't be scared? Even if the patient was handsome, an epitome of an ideal man, he was scary as fuck, yes not little but way too scary, when he suddenly changed moods after hearing the news. It never crossed the tech's mind that his patient could be that aggressive. He was very cooperative ever since his admission until a minute ago. The white in uniform young man believed he never said anything wrong yet it felt like it was his fault. Everything was his fault when in reality he was just following orders.

The handsome patient's tone went a little higher and it seemed like he was yelling at the nurse who was just doing his job if somebody outside the room would hear it.

"It's been freaking hours already! Why can't I still not eat?" The patient asked, actually demanding reasons. He was promised that he could eat six hours after the operation but it had been seven already and they still wouldn't allow him.

"I'm really sorry, Sir. Doctor's orders." The nurse answered not knowing how to calm the man. He was just new at his job and now he was already answering a patient's wrath.

He was just a medical technician and was just getting an update of the man's vital signs when the man lying in bed went berserk. He was pretty strong for someone who had just underwent an operation.

The patient's appendix was removed due to inflammation, almost bursting, yet there he was already demanding. The nurse knew he was frustrated and very hungry at the moment because he went fasting before the operation and now he still wasn't allowed to eat.

"I'm really sorry, Sir. I can't give you the exact time when will you be allowed to eat until your doctor cleared your chart. We are still monitoring your signs, Sir." The medical technician named Wayo explained although he wished he could run away from the room. His hands were already shaking.

"THEN BRING ME THE DAMN DOCTOR!!!" He roared startling the young man.

Wayo was rooted on his spot blinking in disbelief that he was actually demanding the doctor's presence.

"Sir--"

"Is there a problem here?"

Wayo turned his sight to the source of the question and nearly run towards the person who was responsible of his salvation.

A man in a navy blue scrub suit was in the door waiting for the answer of his inquiry. He heard the yelling from the outside and since he recognized Wayo's voice he went in and took a look.

"Hello?" He repeated when no one seemed to answer him. "I'm a doctor and is there something I could help you with?" In normal situations, he would never offer a help after spending hours in the operation room but he felt the urge to give it.

"Doc, he's asking if he can eat now." The confidence in Wayo's voice returned when the doctor took the authority of the room with his presence. He handed the chart with the patient's information and vital signs.

The doctor just took a quick glance to it and looked back to the man on the bed.

"Your chart seems to be still incomplete, Mr. Jaturapoom. There are still things to be checked and until you finish them all, you are not allowed to eat or drink."

"WHAT?! EVEN DRINKING!?" The loud voice went back again forgetting the stitches in his lower torso. The man groaned in pain earning him small chuckles from his friends who were in the same room.

"Your friends may damp wet cottons on your lips to ease your thirst, Mister, but you are not allowed to drink water."

"And fucking why?!"

"Because your internal organs are yet to be aligned inside that's why." The doctor was smiling but it was a different kind of smile.

It was the evil kind of smile. And he didn't stop there when the room was filled with silence, again.
