"You two! Move at the back and I don't want to see you two sitting side by side!" Our teacher shouted at us with so much furry on her eyes. Well, we deserve to be scolded but it was too much that she wanted us to sit apart from each other.
"Beam..." Forth called out to me as he settled down at his seat three chairs away from me. He was about to continue when he was called out again by our not-in-the-mood educator.
"Forth! What did I tell you?! No talking to each other or else I'm kicking one of you out of my class!" The rest of our classmates giggled at how angry Ms. was. Apparently, it was funny for them that Forth and I got punished.
"Quiet!!!"
It was only the second week since the school year started and now we were being scolded. We were now sophomores, a year older but same old naughty students, that would never change I think...not in the near future anyway.
Nevertheless, apart from getting into the next year level, what I really liked about this year was...
Forth and I finally made up! Yey! How? Well...
A week before the school started, I was dying out of boredom, when my Mom called me downstairs. She knew I won't leave my room until a valid reason was given but this time she didn't give me one yet the voice she used was something no one could say no to.
And there he was, Forth in the living room eyeing me with intensity as I descended from the stairs. It was a miracle I didn't fell down.
He was wearing his casual khaki shorts with a plain white shirt. But damn, he was really cool and handsome with those clothes. I'm not sure but I think I blushed a little with that scene that welcomed me.
Not really good for my heart!
"Hi Beam," He greeted, too formal for my taste. His hands were still on his pockets but I could see that he was fidgeting.
Why?
"Hi," Thankfully I didn't stutter because I was nervous as fuck to talk to him. "What up?" I asked although I am not entirely sure what in the world he's doing here.
My Mom then bid her goodbyes as she went back to what she's been doing in the kitchen hoping that she would finish it and return to us. Hopefully, I could survive this situation before the ground swallow me whole.
I was watching him and waiting for him to talk since I didn't have the confidence to start any conversation. I was only entertaining myself for the past days and I really didn't know how to interact with him now. It was really awkward and I was not ready for any of it. I learned my lesson well for the past weeks and I was not planning to do them again especially now that Forth's here. I couldn't mess this up. Not again.
"Thought we could..." He paused staring directly at me.
It was awkward as hell and no one wanted to break the silence that stayed after. I could feel that he also was feeling the same awkwardness between us.
A minute later, I was grateful that Forth was Forth and he broke it down!
"There's a new movie showing at the mall. Would you like to watch it?...with me?" He asked but at first I didn't believe it! How could I?! We were not talking, facing each other, for months and now suddenly he wanted us to hang out! I was freaking out! Fortunately for me, I controlled myself and didn't make it more dramatic than what my head was saying.
Didn't make it dramatic but I smiled so wide I fucking blushed. God, that was embarassing as hell but before I made it more awkward I asked him in return.
"Your treat?"
And he returned my smile!
"Sure."
