Bad Teacher Part 78- Lies

"Hey Nick!" she says as she hugs me

"Hey Dems, how are you?"

"I'm good, come on in." She said

I walk in and I see all the pictures of her and Alex together. I look at one of the frames and it's one from our tour mission last year. It was Alex, Zac, and I hugging each other in our camp.

"I always liked that picture." Demi said standing next to me

"Me too." I said

"I was beyond grateful you guys were with Alex during that time. You mean a lot to her." She said

My heart breaks a little, I can see the trust Demi has in us. Especially Alex, I want to break, I want to tell her but I don't want to hurt her. We sit on the couch and I see the guitar I pick it up and play a few chords to distract myself from the constant battle in my mind.

"What song is that?" Demi said

"Just one I wrote a while back." I said

"You write?" Demi said excited

"Yeah I wrote a lot when I was deployed. What about you?" I asked

"Yeah I wrote a lot when I felt down. One of them means a lot to me because... never mind. You probably don't want to know that" she said

"No, go on it's okay." I said

"It's a song I wrote when my first girlfriend cheated on me." she said looking down

"Really? Is it okay if I hear it?" I asked curiously

"Do you want to?" she said

"Only if you want to." I said

She smiles lightly and picks up the guitar and plays. Then after a few moments she starts singing.

"I'm so glad I have Alex, you have no idea Nick. She has never hurt me the way my ex did, I love her."

My heart pounded, I had to tell her

"Demi I need to tell you something." I said

Before I could say anything I heard someone say my name

"Nick?"

I look up and I see Alex standing by the door. Her face turned white like a ghost and her face was blank

"Shit.."

Alex's POV

I come home from the store and I walk up the door. Once I open it I hear someone in the living room. I walk in and my heart stopped, I can feel a cold feeling run through my body.

"Nick?" I managed to say before I knew it I felt my head spinning, my legs tremble, and felt a chill run down my body. Before I knew it I blacked out.

"Fuck.."
