Bad Teacher Part 78- Lies

She gives me a kiss, and walks downstairs. I see her drive away and I couldn't help but feel sad. I knew something was wrong but she won't tell me and it kills me. I sit on the couch and play with my guitar to help me relax. After a few minutes, I hear my phone ringing near the bedroom. I run upstairs and grab it hoping it was Alex, but it was Nick calling me. I sigh and answered.

"Hey Nick what's up?"

"Hey Demi, are you free at the moment?"

"Yeah, I'm not really busy right now what's going on?"

"Mind if I drop by?"

He sounded a bit off, I brushed it off thinking he needed to talk or something.

"Sure, Jeremy is with Dallas and Alex just left. So I'm by myself right now, is everything okay?"

" I just wanted to catch up and talk." He said

"Okay, sounds good I guess I'll see you in a bit then."

"See you in a few Demi." He said

We hang up and I put the guitar back in the stand and waited for him to come.

Nicks POV

I get ready and head over to Demi's. Alex isn't home and my brother is in his room. I walk out and see him down the hall

"Expecting someone?" I said

"No, I'm gonna go grab a beer with the guys in a few."

"Not gonna go sneak off aren't you?" I said annoyed

"No nick I'm not, like I said nothing is going on."

"I'm not an idiot."

"I never said you were." He said defensively

"Don't lie to me."

"I'm not lying, if you don't believe me then come with me." He said

"No thanks, I have other plans."

"Oh? With who."

"None of your business." I said

He looks at me and I see his posture change and he walks closer to me.

"You're not gonna go see Demi aren't you?" he said in a serious tone

"Why do you care who I meet up with?" I said

"You better not say a fucking word." He said

"I'm not." I said

"Good."

"I'll just let the guilt get it out of you."

"Little brother, you need to relax. Look, if you do see Demi I don't care. Just don't say anything, don't get into anyone's life if it doesn't involve you." He said

I scoff at how hypocritical he sounds.

"Whatever Zac, have fun with the guys."

"Have a good hang out little bro." He said

I slam the door and make my way to my car. I drive over to Demi's and my mind is racing.

*15 mins later*

Still Nicks POV

I park in front of the house and make my way to the doorstep. I ring the doorbell and wait for a bit. Then I hear the door open and see Demi there smiling at me.
