Chapter 62

"Woah. Let's take things easy, shall we?" Fu Hanyu smiled as he blocked Qiang Jingyi's attack and lunged at him.

Qiang Jingyi advanced, facing him head-to-head, and struck at him with his long sword, "Mhm, I will make sure you disappear from this world."

Fu Hanyu raised his eyebrow, "I wonder what that woman sees in you, really. Such a cold blooded man with hands covered in blood... Oh well, too bad I'm going to kill you."

Seeing the sword slaying towards him, Fu Hanyu retreated before he counterattacked.

Qiang Jingyi replied, "You cannot kill someone when you are already dead."

Fu Hanyu saw how Qiang Jingyi dodged his attacks and clicked his tongue with frustration.

Both of the leaders continued to fight each other while ignoring their surroundings; they were determined to kill the other. Unlike the leaders, who mostly fought without having much conversation, Shu Ya and Xavier were so loud that even Lin Xinglan couldn't help but to hear each and every single word that came out of their mouths.

"Trying to snatch our treasure? Ha, don't overestimate your abilities! You insignificant trash slave!"

"What a foul mouth. All you do is bark and bark, you're such a dog!" Shu Ya sneered.

Xavier became angry and flustered, "What did you say? I dare you to say it again!"

"What, don't tell me you're deaf now? I don't mind saying it again." Shu Ya smirked, "You are such a dog."

Gritting his teeth furiously, Xavier forced himself to smile, "You say that I'm a dog but what about you? Such a useless guard that can't even do his duty properly as he couldn't kill a dog. How damned useless!"

The corner of Shu Ya's eye behind his white mask twitched, what he hated most was to be called useless, "You... You are dead. Not only that, did you just call yourself a dog? As expected of one!"

"You are courting death! Come at me so I can kill you!" Xavier was so furious, his face was red.

The two of them glared at each other hatefully before they began to attack one another. They argued and fought so heatedly that they no longer paid any attention to the jade box treasure that had accidentally got flung. Everyone was occupied in fighting and didn't notice it. The only one that was able to notice it was Lin Xinglan. She saw how the jade box got thrown away like it was nothing and couldn't help but to facepalm at the two idiots. The situation was severe and serious, everyone was fighting to death, yet Shu Ya and Xavier just forgot about the treasure just like that.

This is so fucking bullshit... Oh.

An idea popped up in her mind when she saw that the jade box was not far away from her. However, even though it wasn't far away from her, it was also close to Qiang Jingyi and Fu Hanyu but neither of them had noticed it. She wanted to sneakily get the treasure but she was afraid Fu Hanyu would notice her and attack her but at the same time, what if she succeeded with her plan?

Lin Xinglan decided to take the risk but just as she was about to make her move, a familiar voice rang throughout the forest.

"So this is what you all have been doing! Such a treasure, it's only right for this prince to conquer it! Qiang Jingyi, Fu Hanyu.... Today, you all will die by this prince's hands!"

Lin Xinglan almost choked on air when she saw the first prince, Qiang Jun Hei, walking out with his own guards to face Qiang Jingyi and Fu Hanyu. Because of the oil lamps, she could see the bloodshot in his raging eyes. After not seeing him for a while, he had gotten thinner and messier. He was no longer refined; he didn't look like he lived well.

What the fuck is he doing here?!

Lin Xinglan was speechless. Never had anyone expected that the first prince of Qin would pop up out of nowhere. Everyone stopped fighting and had their attention on Qiang Jun Hei instead.

Fu Hanyu wanted to strangle Qiang Jun Hei for being such a bothersome chess piece that he had already thrown away.

"What are you trying to do by disturbing us?"

Qiang Jun Hei could tell the disgusted tone in Fu Hanyu's voice and got angry, "Fu Hanyu, this prince will make you regret for what you have done!"

Fu Hanyu laughed out loud as if he had heard a joke, "You? Make me regret?" Suddenly, he stopped laughing and said, "I told you if you appeared in front of me again, I'll kill you. It seems like you want to die so badly, huh?"

"Enough! Face my wrath, Fu Hanyu, Qiang Jingyi!" Qiang Jun Hei drew his sword from the sheath and shouted, "Men, attack!"

The guards behind him immediately charged towards the armed people in the huge circle. They screamed as they raised their weapons to attack their opponents. Qiang Jingyi's and Fu Hanyu's side looked at each other before attacking Qiang Jun Hei' side. They might be enemies but taking care of the third party was more important, they didn't have a choice, and once they defeated them, they could continue to fight each other.

Lin Xinglan, who had watched the whole thing as a bystander, secretly wiped the sweat on her forehead as she encouraged herself. This was a perfect chance for her to sneakily go get the jade box. While Qiang Jun Hei had distracted everyone with his attack as they were all busy with fighting, it was easier for her to quickly make her move and then go back hiding behind the bush. She must take the treasure; she didn't want Qiang Jingyi and his people to fight for nothing. Since no one had noticed the jade box laying on the ground, she had to make her move.

Thus, she began to take action.
