The Present

I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock. I hit the snooze button on my phone and sleep for another 5 min. Then it rings again. Ugh I hate this sound!!
I get out of bed grumpy and go to take a shower. I blow dry my hair and leave it with my natural lose curls.
I choose to wear a cute white top and pair it with black jeans and open toe heels. I put on some lipstick and mascara and grab a small purse. I go down to the kitchen and grab a apple and start eating it while waiting for Dylan to finish. Half way through my apple, he emerges from his room

"Morning" he says as he makes his daily cup of coffee

"Good morning" I reply back. He was wearing dark blue dress pants and a white dress shirt today. His hair wasn't gelled back as usual but was his messy natural hair. I finish my apple and go to throw out the core.

"Do you want some coffee?" Dylan asks me

"No thank you" I reply as I grab a water bottle from the fridge

"Ready to go?" He asks while pouring his coffee into his mug

"Yup!" I say as I grab my purse and we head out the door to the car

The car ride was silent until Dylan decided to break that silence

"I want to take you out. On a real date" he says as he shifts his attention from the road to me

I look at him, not really knowing what to say, so I smile and say "that's nice"

*Dam it Mia, what's wrong with you? 'That's nice'? Who the hell says that!!*

"Ya, maybe we can go out to a restaurant or something tonight? My treat" He suggests

"Dylan, you honestly don't have to spend money on me for a high-end date. I'd rather spend time with you then eat somewhere expensive" I say while looking at him

"Are you sure? I just want you to have fun and make it special" he says

"well as long as I'm with you, anywhere or whatever we do will be fun and special" I say while interlocking his free hand's fingers into mine

He looks back at me and smiles, giving my hand a gentle squeeze "ok, I have a good idea on where to go" he says
"I finish work at 6:30pm today so I'll pick you up at 7:00pm from home. Wear something comfortable" he says

Since I finish work earlier than him, I usually get home before him.
"Sounds good" I say while getting excited for tonight

Work is boring, as usual. It's not even a real job anyway. I spend the day organizing files and sending emails.
Nick comes by and he brings me McDonalds for lunch. I LOVE McDonald's fries, I mean who doesn't? Dylan is ok with me hanging out with Nick at lunch now so he comes by or we go out sometimes. Nick is a funny guy, he has a boyfriend who is studying to become a fashion designer. He's dying to meet my mom, which I promised I would introduce him to.

After lunch, I finish up the rest of my work and I notice it's 4pm which means my shift is done! Yay!
I go to Dylan's office to let him know I'm leaving. I see him on his computer doing work.

"Hey, just wanted to let you know that I'm going home" I say as I approach his desk, I go around and go behind his chair to give him a kiss on the cheek

He pulls me onto his lap and I let out a gasp

"A kiss on the cheek isn't going to satisfy me" he says in a low deep voice with his eyes growing darker

I lean in with a smile and give him a kiss on the lips. This kiss that starts off as a soft small kiss turns into a powerful one. After a few seconds, I pull away and try to catch my breath.

"You're so beautiful" he says while looking at me

I give him another small peck on the lips and get off him, standing back up.
I go towards the door and look back at him smiling

"I'll see you at home" I say while smirking

I leave his office and call Ross to drive me home since I came here with Dylan.
I get home and chose what to wear for our date. I was so excited to spend the evening with Dylan. I felt like we were starting to have more than just a relationship going, but a friendship. He was like a friend too.

Since it was around mid August, summer wasn't as hot as it was last month so I chose to wear jeans and a black sweater. He said to wear something comfortable. I put my hair into two boxer braids and wear a pair of sneakers.

Since I had an hour to spare, I went downstairs and sat on the couch with my laptop and was looking into different universities. I've always wanted to follow into my moms footsteps and be a fashion designer so I was debating weather to apply for my dream school which is Otis college of art and design in Los Angeles or not. I've always wanted to go there but now I wasn't too sure.

I get a text from Dylan

Dylan:
I'm here, come down

Mia:
Ok :)

I put aside my future thoughts and grab my wristlet focusing on the present for now which was my date with Dylan.
