I think
that we don't always want
to fall in love
simply because we're lonely.

I think that,
sometimes,
we want to fall in love
because we want someone
who will love us unconditionally,
who will care for us
and want the best for us
no matter what we do or say
or how we feel towards them,
who will always be willing to listen to us
no matter how bad their day has been, and who will be by our side
and let us lean on them
when we barely have the strength to stand
on our own,

because,
in reality,

no one else has ever done that

for us.

When I wrote this I'm pretty sure I was just feeling lonely, haha.
