"I couldn't have asked for better roommates than all of you" I smiled while wiping away tears. I wasn't even bothered if my mascara smudged.
Soon after we had all finished our own little chat and final roasting session, Finn and Jess' parents came over to see their children. James had apparently already seen his parents, but they didn't stick around for long.
"At least they came" I laughed slightly, just imagining my parents on some tropical holiday without a care in the world for where their youngest daughter currently was.
James gave me a sympathetic smile. "Wanna take a walk back to the dorm?"
I nodded and we began the walk through the pink and white blossoming trees. When the noises of everyone talking we're gone, we linked hands and enjoyed a slow walk back.
"James, the dorm is this way?" I noticed as he tried walking down a different path that lead to the water fountain.
"I know, just come this way."
I did as he said and walked closely beside him again. Our fingers intertwined, the soft wind blowing our gowns- it was perfect.
Eventually we came to a stop and he turned to face me. Both our hands were linked now, and he gazed down at me. There was a tiny smile plastered on my pink lips.
"It's crazy to think back to how different things used to be" he said softly causing me to nod in agreement.
"Yeah...I'm so glad i met you. I don't think I would have survived without you" I whispered, feeling myself tear up. James rubbed my plump cheek with his thumb slowly.
"You're strong. I always believed in you Riles. And now look at us...you've done me proud."
He leans down and kissed me slowly. Of course I kissed back, enjoying the sweet taste of his lips. All the butterflies woke up as we pulled apart, leaving us staring at one another with a smile.
Suddenly I just got this overwhelming fuzzy feeling inside, causing me to wrap my arms around his stomach similar to what a 10 year old would do.
James arms snakes around my shoulders and his chin rested itself on the top of my head.
"I love you" I whispered for the first time ever. I'd loved him from the start, and I'll love him to the end. But for moments in time, this was defiantly the best time to say those three, meaningful words.
"I love you too" he whispered back, still holding me in his arms. It felt perfect.

It was worth the wait.
Eventually we pulled away from each other's arms and I kissed her gently again. It was only the third or fourth time we had kissed but it always managed to feel like it was the first.
Her lips were made for mine.
I have a surprise for you...it's an overwhelming one but I'm hoping you'll like the idea...
Riles and I walked back to the room. Jess and Finn had dragged their now fully packed bags and suitcases into the now crowded lounge. We greeted them both with a hug and a smile, before getting into the sad goodbyes.
