Chapter 23: Ask the Girl, Jesse :D

"Yes" she replied quietly. I mean, I can hear her but her voice is too quiet

"Wha-?" I was cut off by her surprising me with a hug. At first, It feels I'm being tackled by her into a hug

"Yes! I would love to" she replied. I chuckled gaining my coolness back in. Then after a good seconds of just us hugging, we slowly broke off from our embrace

"Well then, let's meet up later at the temple. We'll all be waiting for you there" I said, she nodded

"Okay" she agreed. Then, we went outside the Training area where we saw John and Mike there, sitting in one of these 'vehicle' that the Allies brought. It's average sized and this is not a Tank by the way because by the look of it, it's not layered with thick metal armor and smaller in terms of size than tanks. The machine is painted in Desert camo color and has seats enough for four peoples. At the back of this vehicle, there's a machine gun attached to its back. I guess it's for the vehicle's self-defence

"Ah, Jesse and Petra. I assume that you two are going back to the temple to rest. Am I right?" John said. We nodded in response

John smiled before gesturing to the empty seats on the backside of the vehicle "Well why don't we take you there? Hop on in! This Jeep will get you in a jiffy to your destined place" John offered. Petra and i glanced at each other

Meh, I guess we can take a faster way of going back home

"Umm, okay sure. Why not?" I said, accepting his offer as Petra and i take a seat behind them. So they called this vehicle 'Jeep'. He began driving the Jeep through the streets of Beacontown towards the temple. By now, the lamps on the side of the streets were already lit because it's already five in the afternoon meaning that the night is coming and that moon is about to rise while the sun is slowly sinking into the horizon. While on the road, we chatted a bit

"So Jesse, Petra...What do you guys think of the Allies?" John asked me while steering the Jeep

"I guess they're nice" I told my simple opinion to him

"Oh? Well, thanks for the compliment" Mike chuckled hearing my simple but humble and honest opinion

"You should know our King and Prime Minister. They're all respected leader of our Empire just like you Jesse for Beacontown. And I'm going to admit that those Adventures you, your friends, and companions have been through together. From the Wither Storm calamity to finally defeating the Admin which is some sort of God of this world, an odd choice of words to call a God are quite some extraordinary achievements" John said

"Yeah, it is. But wait, how did you know all that stuff about us?" I asked John curiously

"Oh well, I read those books about your adventures with your friends and companions. Written by that blonde friend of yours in a Bookstore. Lukas right?" He replied

I nodded, indicating that he's right about Lukas "Yes, Lukas. He really did a great job in both documenting and romancing our adventures into both a travel log and a story after the Order's split. I really missed adventuring with all of my friends" i said

"Aww, that's really nice of you Jesse. Bet you won't let me go" Petra remarked with a hint of joke and tease as she gave a light punch on my arm

"Heh, you chaps seems to be the best of friend" John said, chuckled

"Yep. Since childhood" i said "five years old if I remember correctly'

"Wow, that's quite an impressive span of time of a friendship" Mike commented

"Yeah, five years of friendships and here we are today: still friends and companions, through thick and thin, forever friends even after the Order's split" Petra said, looking around the town while her hair is flowing in the air due to the wind blowing caused by the jeep's speed that is faster than the fastest horse in this world. I smiled at her, especially since I was entranced by her beautiful ginger hair flowing in the air

"Sure it is. But the past is in the past. We just need to move forward and be content with the present and the future later on. If it doesn't work out, well... we just need something to push us so that we can move forward. Right?" John said. We nodded in reply, agreeing with his remark. And at that time, I noticed that now we're about to arrive at the temple

"Yeah, i guess so" i said to myself, almost in whisper. When we finally arrived at the temple's front door, the jeep was stopped by John by stepping on something like a lever with his foot which is located below him

"Well, this is your stop. See you two tonight. I'll bring a 'guest' along with me. Just you two wait" John bade goodbye as we waved at each other before he went back to the Allied Campsites with Mike in speed

"Well then, we should get some rest before tonight. Let's go inside" I said as Petra and i went inside the temple to get some rest. Entering the temple, I found my sister and Lukas sleeping on the couch in the temple's guest room (living room) with my sister's head on Lukas' lap. I couldn't help but smile and be happy for both my sister and Lukas

I turned to Petra "Later Petra!" I said to her to which she replied with 'later, Jesse' as i went to my bedroom where I usually sleep with my sister to get some sleep while Petra decided to have a small snack before going to her bedroom in the temple to get some rest

Tomorrow is another day, but not quite an ordinary day
