I smiled. "We are supposed to be spending time as a nice group of friends."

"We'll link back up with them. I promise."

I glanced at everyone before nodding to Jaxon. "Two rides or games and we come back."

So then, we were off to hunting for a game to play together. My heartfelt warm, holding his hand the whole time and I really enjoyed being around him. It wasn't a bad idea for us branching to go on our own. I had him all to myself.

I gasped, looking at the two couple teddy bears hanging over the booth that displayed 'Clown Darts' over it. I couldn't see much but, there were plenty of couples crowded. I looked at Jaxon with the biggest Bambi eyes I could muster. "Jaxon! Can we pleaseeee play this?! Please please pleaseeeee?!"

He looked at it pretty reluctant to agree. I lightly squeezed his hand. "I'll bump it up to three."

"Meh..." He shrugged about to start walking but, I pulled on his arm. He's going to barter with me. "Okay. Three games and I'll wear one of those stupid outfits you have stashed."

"Let's play!" Jaxon cheered and I shook my head at him as we made our way over the booth. There wasn't really a line, there were just couples watching while a guy was playing and his girlfriend or wife awaited anxiously on the side. "Come on Ricky! You got this!"

Ricky focused hard as he clenched the dart tightly, glaring at the balloons with a painted Clown on it. None of the three balloons were popped and he had only one in his hand. Finally, he tossed the dart and it missed the balloon by a little.

The man dressed as a clown -which made me shudder- frowned. "Awww, better luck next time bud." Ricky frowned, meeting back with his girlfriend who gave him a kiss on the cheek, giving him words of encouragement.

"Step right up to Clown Darts! Dart all three balloons and you win the couple bear for you and your beloved!" The man chirped. People were hesitant to step up so Jaxon walked up to the booth, holding my hand too. "I'd like to try."

"Great." 'Cody' his nametag read and the man held out his hand. "Five dollars please."

Jaxon gave to him and he stepped up to where he was. I smiled, watching him get serious as Cody handed him three darts. "Go Captain Douche!" I cheered.

The game started and Jaxon got even more concentrated. He threw his first dart but, he missed by a near shot. I didn't make sense at all. Jaxon used guns and he missed a simple dart toss. His mood faltered a little yet, that didn't stop him and it didn't stop me from cheering him on.

He got the other two but, we didn't win anything. I then picked up on what this man was doing with the game.

"What a shame, kid. If you got the last one, you could've got the bears. Guess you should work on your throw." Cody frowned. I could tell he was messing with Jaxon and that ticked him off. I quickly stepped up before anything could escalate. "I want to go."

The man and Jaxon both looked shocked but, Jaxon smiled at me, taking our cotton candy from my hands. That's all I needed for approval. I handed the man five dollars from my own pocket before Jaxon could and stepped up to the mat.

"Alright little lady," The man placed three darts in front of me. "Good luck."

My nerves were picking up but, I relaxed, knowing my intuition was right. I can do this. I picked up one of the darts and eyed the balloons carefully and just as I thought, they were moving side to side but, it wasn't noticeable enough to let you know it was scammed. The wind also played a role, blowing the balloons around a little so it made for the perfect cover-up.
