This is also a Human AU and a High School AU story, so Leo is eighteen, Raph is seventeen, Donnie and Kitty are fifteen and Mikey is fourteen. • Kitty's POV •

"Kitty... I-I'm scared...", Mikey whispers. It's been hours past his shift and Dad hasn't came back yet. He wasn't even answering his phone. I kept telling Mikey that it was nothing and that maybe things just got chaotic at his work and he had to stay and he couldn't even pick up the phone to tell us. To make it worse, Mikey's heart monitor was slowing, and the doctor's said that nothing should happen but I was still scared. "Why does it feel like... like I'm-"
"Nothing will happen to you, Mikey, I promise.", Donnie cuts in, pulling him into a hug, stroking his strawberry blonde hair, giving him the most comforting smile he could possibly manage at this moment. I don't know how much more of this I could take but the thought of something happening to Mikey was enough to really make me want to grab my blade again.
"I love you guys."
"And we love you too, Otōto - little brother." This is exactly what happens in the movies before the person in the hospital bed dies and I pray I'm just being paranoid. "Everything will be okay, Mikey. We promise."
"I know, big sis...", he lays back in his bed, staring at his heart monitor. "Get a doctor...Now..."
I nod and we dart out the room, fearing the worse. We both call for a doctor or a nurse, two nurses came.
"O-Our brother, h-he needs help. Please.", I tell them. They nod and we go to Mikey's room, and that's when my worse possible fear happened. Mikey looks directly at us...
His heart monitor went flat...

• Leo's POV •

I was by Raph, who was sleeping, looking through my phone, hoping that at any moment Dad would return at least one of my calls. I did get a call, though, not from Dad. From Kitty. I immediately answer.
"Kit? Everything okay?", I ask, in a concerned, big brother tone.
"L-Leo...", I could tell from the sound of his voice he was in shock. "Please...Get here...N-Now."
"What's going on?"
"Just get here.", I feel a strong sense of worry and fear as I hang up the phone and get up. Raph was still asleep, and he had his phone on him. He would call if he work up before I got back. I go to Mikey's room, and see the doctor's rushing him the ER. The twins stood there, with wide eyes and he was shaking. I run over to him, taking his shoulders.
"Kitty. Donnie. W-W-What happened?", I try my best to keep a calm voice and try to be strong, but it was failing. I don't know if I can be strong right now.
"His heart monitor went flat...", Kitty stutters, bursting into tears. I pull her into me, knowing very well I had to be the rock right now. "Leo...What's going to happen...?"
