Treading on water after midnight gave me life. It made me re-think my choices, which helped a lot in my case. Sometimes I felt glad that my mom forced me into swimming. Although I hated it at first, I out grew that hatred and grew a passion for it instead over the years and surprisingly at the age of seventeen, I was part of the Los Angeles National Swimming Club a.k.a (NSC).

If people thought sneaking into their own swimming club every night wasn't rebellious then I wouldn't know what is. The guards that were hired to check up on this place did a very terrible job at it, they didn't know how to lock up properly - or even at all. I spent most of my nights just treading on water and thinking, bringing me sensuality that I needed.

My breathing doubled when I heard the sound of the back door opened. If they were guards, they were bound to catch me and I would be banned from this place for good, club member or not.

Muffled laughter filled the room along with chirpy yet deep male voices. I hadn't remembered any teenage guards in the area at all. All I had remembered was two bald, bacon-grease smelling men who looked like pedophiles just waiting to catch its prey of girls with skin tight swimsuits on.

"Shut the fuck up, Luke! We're going to get caught!" One voice said, I furrowed my eyebrows at his obvious statement, of course they were going to get caught if they were speaking that loud.

The voices were getting closer and I could feel my hands shake underneath the cold water. The only two options I had was to either sink myself down into the water until they were gone or to hide in the darker areas of the pool where the tiles were of a darker blue. Of course I had chosen the second option to hide in the darker end of the pool or else I would've died from the lack of oxygen in my respiratory system.

I swam to the darker end of the pool where there were no lights and no reflection. I had a navy blue swimsuit on which helped camouflage me with the dark tiles, my hair was a dark brown colour which helped as well.

"Do it Michael, I dare you." Another voice said, challenging. I saw a foot dip into the pool quickly, in and out.

"Fine, but if I get hurt, I'm pressing charges." The other groaned, not too pleased. They were stupid if they thought this pool could injure them, it was a seven foot deep pool - that was self explanatory.

I kept a firm movement making sure there was no water splashing around me - that was until I felt a ton of bricks landing on me - but it wasn't bricks. It was a body. The body landed directly on me - where I was hiding - causing me wince and stumble back, creating a big splash. I felt as if I was about to drown from the water and swam to the surface of the pool only to be met by terrified green eyes and floppy hair.

He screamed, which made me scream. I didn't know what I was screaming for but he was screaming out of fear. I wouldn't blame him though, if I landed on someone in the middle of a pool I would be scared shitless to say.

"What the fuck?" He yelled at the top of his lungs causing me to flinch at the high pitch. He left me there to swim where the metal bars were and climbed out of the pool. I looked up only to see another three boys staring at me with utter confusion and shock.

"Well this is awkward," I squeaked. "Um...hi?"

They all still had a puzzled look on their faces, one nudged the other one making him shake his head. The green eyed one had no hesitation grabbing his towel and wrapping his body around with it, fuming.

"Hi? What the hell? How could you say hi?" He snapped. "I thought you were a ghost! I almost pissed on you!" His last sentence made me want to laugh a little bit but stopped immediately as I saw the unamused looks on their faces.

"I--I'm sorry." I apologised, swimming to the bars and climbing out. I didn't bother saying anything else - or even look at them as I retrieved my swimming bag and tried to make a run for it. Unfortunately, my wrist was yanked and I was spun around, my gaze face to face with a boy who had very hazel green eyes and a look of concerned plastered of his face.

"Are you alright?" He asked, his grip still tight on my wrist.

"Um, yeah." I nodded too, my voice hoarse. I pulled my wrist away from his hand and walked away only to be stopped by another boy shouting at me.

"Hey!" I heard another guy called, he had his blonde hair in a quiff and a shirt wrapped around his waist, he stared me up and down before asking me. "What are you doing here? Stalking us?"

"What?" I asked, confused. "Why would I stalk you?"

"Because you're a fan aren't you?" His voice was taunting but I didn't know what he meant by a 'fan'. "We tweeted we were going swimming somewhere and to find us and you obviously did. Did you have a  tracking device with you? Did you get the FBI on it?" He was extremely rude and I felt like throwing a punch at him.

"First of all, I don't even know where you can get tracking devices." I air quoted with my fingers before crossing my arms against my chest. "Secondly, I've never seen you before and the FBI stalks crimes, not teenage boys. Sorry to disappoint."

"Hm, sassy. I like it." A tanned skin, brown-eyed, brown haired boy interfered, an amused look on his face.

"I'm sorry to release all this tension but what the hell were you down there? And how the fuck did you breathe?" The one that tackled me asked.

"I swim here." I scoffed.

"After hours?" The rude blonde one asked, his tone sarcastic.

"Yeah," I shot a fake smile. "But thanks to you guys, you've ruined it."

I didn't let any of them respond as I turned around and ran straight through the door, hoping that I'd never get to see their faces again.

As I got home, I unlocked the front door with the spare key I had hidden underneath one of the flower pots and got in. I was thankful my mom wasn't awake nor was my sister or else I would've gotten a lecture, again. I made my way upstairs as silently as possible and successfully entered my bedroom where I kicked off my shoes and dived straight into bed with my wet swimming suit on - I've done this so many times, my bed sheets were never dry.

I laid in bed thinking of the events that had happened today and I honestly meant it when I said I wouldn't want to see any of their faces ever again. Especially the blonde one, if I ever saw him again, he would be missing his testicles.
