Which also triggered this case.

The relationship we thought could be fixed had gone toxic and needed to end. Legally.

"For the sake of the children named Elle and Ella and from the result of their physical and mental assessments, the custody will fall on my client. Full custody. A restraining order will also be implemented."

Beam tears fell pouring his heart's out. He was covering his face with both of his palm. I never thought I could see him again like this. My heart could feel his pain as he tried so hard not to break down in front of all this people.  I wanted to embrace him, console him, but knew that it wasn't the right time. We need to remain strong until this meeting reach to its end.

On the other hand, Forth went back into his calm composure after letting out a heavy sigh.

The lawyer from the left accepted it wholeheartedly as well as his team. Beam stopped crying but I could still see the effect. Documents were signed by both sides together with me and a couple of others as well.

After all the papers were completed and stamped, the group of people from one side started to walk towards the exit. Their faces showed devastation, regret, and lost.

I wanted to pity them but I couldn't find it. They didn't deserve anything from us anyway. My concern went back to Beam and saw how red his eyes were. He was so out of his character.

"Beam," I said stopping him from his tracks.

"Pha..."

I went to him and gave him the hug he needed the most.

"It'll be alright. I promise you, Beam. We're going to make it. We will be here to help you...always. Okay?"

He nodded in return somehow calming him down. He went back to Auntie and Uncle giving them a hug of comfort and support.

"Forth," I called him when he had finished his talk with his lawyer. This was a big case that dragged two well known families and for sure it would be a talk around the industry for a bit. "What are your plans now?"

Maybe he noticed how my voice sounded off since his expression changed a little. I already knew his capabilities before but I never thought he would go this far.

He is on another level.

"A big lunch would be appropriate, I think? I'm starving!" He exclaimed, clearly he couldn't hide the happiness in his voice. Everything went according to his plans after all.

He approached us as he pushed Lam's wheelchair. He, too, looked relieved and I think it was his most pleasant face I saw for years, well except for a few occasions.

"So," I turned my attention to him. "How are you feeling? You're back to the market now Lam! Single and ready to mingle?" I lightly teased.

"Finally!" Beam leaned down and hugged our friend who was now silently weeping. Lam's cry got contagious which made Beam do the same. Forth started to pat Lam's back to show his support to his best friend while his free hand landed on Beam's shoulder.

I bet he really wanted to comfort Beam since the beginning but Lam needed him at his side so he left his husband to Lam's parents temporarily earlier.

God, I want to see Yo now. This couple is making me crave for some affection.

I smiled knowing that this chapter in our lives was finally closed.

Auntie and Uncle, Lam's parents rejoiced too! A little bit emotional of course. It was not easy for them to almost lose their only son and their grandchildren.

His mother fainted when she received the news about Lam rushing to the ER. We were losing him back then but he survived. Thank God!

Beam on the side note, were traumatized. The night that triggered it all, Beam and I went to Lam's and Flay's(the ex-wife) house to pick up the kids. They were about to stay with them over the weekend and I could still remember how excited he was. Forth was already back at their own house waiting for us.

But our worlds crumbled when we open the front door and saw Lam at the end of the stairs, bleeding and barely unconscious. He was whispering his children's name and it hit us, hard. Flay took the kids and knowing how she was almost drunk most of the time, Beam went berserk. He loved the kids as his own and any second, they could be in danger. He rushed out of the house, speed dialing 911 and Forth, and went to look for Flay. I stayed with Lam trying to make him stay awake as we wait for the ambulance. His legs were in a bad shape and the lump on his head made it worse.

Over 10 minutes later, we were on our way to the hospital. Fortunately, my father was still in duty. He was the one who performed the operation since I was under a code.

However, our fear came forward when not too long after Lam went under the operation, Beam and Forth came with the twins who were not in a better condition than their father.

The children were unconscious, both full of scratches over their faces and body.

Lam's parents tried to stay strong but it didn't last long when we witnessed how Beam broke down. He was trembling, pale and was so out of it. He was not crying or hysterical, which was more alarming, but later on went under a panic attack. Forth did his best to have it under control but I could see how his expression went grim. I couldn't blame him, his husband did not only see a family member almost dead but he held in his arms the children he loved who were also in the brink of death. It was too much for a single night.

Flay came afterwards with a gauze on his forehead, nevertheless, she looked perfectly okay.

No one dared to talk but I could sense that they all wanted to skin her alive, including me.

Soon after, the waiting area became full. Forth's parents were there, our friends and surprisingly Flay's too.

That was why Beam was being anxious over the custody of the twins. Flay and her family are pretty influential over the country. They have money to manipulate everything including the court.

It was almost five hours of waiting when my father finally came out. Lam had a cardiac arrest in the middle of the operation but over all, it went well. The twins too survived but would still be under observation not just their physical well-being but also their mental health.

They were just two frickin' years old.

It was almost a kidnap case if not only Flay being their mother. She dragged the kids, drive while drunk and from what I heard from Forth, when they found the car, into almost deserted place crashed to a concrete barrier, the kids were not on a safety belts. To make it worse, it was their side of the car that got crashed.

"I'm sure it was just an accident!" Flay's mother yelled. Of course it was her daughter's fault but she would never let her take all the blame.

They are too proud just like that.

"Lam must have said something to her to make her react like that! I know my daughter will never hurt her own children!" It was now the father's turn.

Yeah right. Whenever I watch over them, I could see how the twins are detached towards women, excluding the grandparents on our side.

And that was where Pring's presence came to picture. While they were recovering, she came one day to visit when she found out about what happened. We all work in the same hospital but in different departments. We saw how the twins reacted to her presence, they were totally scared of her and that goes the same with female nurses.

The twins went to therapy. The doctors and psychiatrists agreed that slowly they needed the twins to be used in Pring's presence. She genuinely agreed.

We could only hope for the best for them to go back and live their lives normally. No more fear when it comes to the opposite gender.

"Earth to Phana!" I heard Forth call my name to snap me out of my own world. "Are you okay? You're a little bit pale." He said.

"Pha?" Beam went to my side to check on me.

"I'm okay guys. Don't worry I'm just a little bit hungry too."

"You skipped breakfast." More of a statement than a question coming from Beam.

I assured them once again before we all went out.

Going to our own cars, I saw Forth talked to someone. The man was wearing too casual clothes but I could tell he's not just a normal person.

"Forth? Who's that?" I asked when the man was gone.

"Oh that. That was one of Ai'Martin's men."

Martin? Ahhh. Cho's friends.

"I just can't let them go easily after what all the things she did to Lam and same goes for Beam. I'm sure they are about to do something. They are too proud to let this one go."

"So what are your plans? Really?" I asked.

"We'll take it slow from now on to avoid another case like this. But I'll make sure that by the end of the year, their name would be on the mud."

I fought a shiver when I felt a sinister aura around Forth.

Told you. He's really something.

Especially when he found out what really happened to Lam through the CCTVs around their house.

That night, his best friend was walking hand in hand with his kids, about to descend the stairs when out of nowhere Flay appeared, obviously holding a bottle of beer. She pushed Lam outbalancing him from his stand. He managed to let of the twin's hands go or else he could've pulled them together with him.

We knew how Flay made their marriage hell but we never expected her to be that insane. We also found out that she only got Lam to marry her when she told him that she was pregnant with Lam's child. He didn't suspect her since they were both drunk when it happened. What he didn't know was that she was already one week pregnant by then. The real father was unknown. Sadly, the child died just three months after the marriage.

Lam decided to give them both a chance. Thus, came the twins. But Flay just loved to ruin everything.

She was a legit example of a spoiled brat. Her parents were blinded by their 'love' for her that they couldn't see the wrongs in her.

"I hope they won't force their chance to have the twins."

Forth looked at me with the same dark expression, only it wasn't towards me.

"Let them try or else they will face my wrath."

"Oh?" Amused. "Didn't you give them already a demonstration of that today?"

"Nah. The favors are all in us for this case. But if they really want to play dirty, which I know they will in the near future, I won't hesitate to use my connections."

He smirked.

Damn. I don't know what to feel about that.

"Forth! Let's go!" Beam yelled from the car. Forth tapped me on the shoulder before going.

He already made them shut throughout this case. What's more if he really would use his connections?

Forth and Beam were one of the twin's godfathers. Wayo and Ming dotted them too.

I also knew that some of Lam's and Forth's seniors were their godfathers too.

Shiver went to my spine again when I remembered who they were.

I once saw a senior of them at a family gathering and I witnessed how they adore Elle and Ella.

Fuck. Those kids are already a powerhouse. I don't know if Lam intentionally made them or he purely want them to be part of his kids' lives.

For sure, Forth was also part of if. He treated his seniors as his close friends, family even.

Damn. Elle and Ella both love their uncles. If time will come that Flay will make an appeal or petition for the custody of her children, which is utterly pointless to do, Lam will 'ask' them to make sure she will never have a chance to even start.

The Suthilucks are scary as fuck especially the one who married to the family. The one named Arthit.

Now I know why the engineering students back then honor the SOTUS too much to anyone's liking. They were not just making the students united, they were making connections that later on would turn into a much deeper one.

My head started to spin after realizing how today's case was nothing but a kind of a paper weight stopping the Pandora's Box to be opened.

If one day, Forth and Beam decided to have their own child, in any way possible, I'll bet that child or children will be their legacy.

Forth's family was located into an intersection that would lead them anywhere with nothing but secured future.

"God. It will be a one hell of a family."
