CHAPTER 7: THE DEMON WHISPERS

However, the woman's head was crushed. Mira couldn't hold back the tears. A waterfall of saltwater ran down her cheeks. She went towards the child, he was sleeping like an angel beside his dead mother. She checked his pulse and said:

"Why did we drag people's lives down with us to this meaningless war?" She said her head down

"I must hurry!! I need to get the others before something unfortunate befalls them," She added as she transformed into her full form of Satan Soul.

She flew high trying to track them. They were just nearby, in an open area. They weren't harmed. However, they were still unconscious. She immediately got there, she went to Lisanna and shook her until she woke up.

"Mi-Mira-Nee... But, How? We were just dining? Was it a dream?" Asked Lisanna as she woke up

Mirajane hugged her hard tears falling down like a stream.

"Thank god... Thank god you're alright!" She said as she pressed her hand against her chest

"Mi-Mira-nee what happened?" Asked Lisianna in a confused tone

Mira went towards Elfman. He was saying:

"Evergreen... I... Lo-" He got interrupted as he woke up by Mirajane's shaking

"Nee-chan... What the hell is happening?" He said as he saw Lisanna coming towards him with Mira at his side

He stood up. Mira undid her Take Over and hugged the both of them hard.

"Thank you... For being alive," She said crying

"What's happening here Nee-chan? Why were we unconscious in the middle of the battlefield?" He asked as Mira let go of him

"I don't know either... I just woke up in middle of this chaos..." Said Mira wiping the tears from her eyes

"Is this... Natsu's flames?" Asked Lisanna

"Most likely... But we still don't know... It could be Zeref's," Said Lisanna

Just behind above them, pitch black spheres rained down slowly.

"What's this?" Asked Elfman as he stretched to touch one

"DON'T TOUCH IT ELFMAN!!!... " Shouted Mira

"Why?" Asked Elfman

"I feel an ominous aura coming from it," She said

"Mira-nee, They're multiplying...!!" Said Lisanna

"Let's go somewhere safe!!" Said Mira

They ran away trying to evade the black spheres. More kept coming, but they dodged them. However, when one sphere lands, it leaves a hole into the ground. Lisanna advancing stumbles and falls. As the sphere touched her, she screamed her soul out.

"LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" Shouted Mira and Elfman running towards her

But, after a while Lisanna was quiet. With a hole in her back, she was lying lifeless on the scorched land. Elfman fell on his knees crying rivers. Mirajane went to Lisanna's side and succumbed at her feet.

"Impo... Impossible," Said Mira

A black sphere almost touched Mirajane, but she was suddenly pushed. When she turned, Elfman with a smile got hit instead of her. At the moment of impact, his smile soon distorted and turned into a shriek.

"NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-CHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!" He screamed

He draws his last breath at that moment. The pain that once burned like fire inside of him, is now an icy numbness. Mirajane was on her knees, her eyes dry. Black blurred the edges of her vision. The spheres stopped, a barrier was created above stopping all and every attack.

"WHY NOW? WHYYYYYYYYY? WHY NOT THEN? HOW? WHY THEM? WHY NOT ME? TAKE ME INSTEAD!!!!!!!" She suddenly shouted sobbing

Mira cried as if her brain was being shredded from the inside. Emotional pain flowed through her shaking body. You could feel melancholy behind that face. The whole world vanished for her. She could only see the reason for their death. Zeref, It was him. He's the cause of her pain and suffering. He's the cause to everything that happened. He must die!! All her hatred and anger were like a dark flame gushing from within. All that sorrow and despair gave her the will to rise one last time.

**Mirajane Vs. Zeref**

"Elfman and Lisanna are DEAD!! And you will pay for their deaths!!" Said Mirajane as a vein popped up in her forehead

"Oh uh! Show me... FAIRY TAIL... Show me your might!!" Said Zeref

"KILL HIM! I'll give you the necessary power," A voice whispered inside of Mirajane's ear

"SATAN SOUL: AGIEL," Said, Mira, as an ominous aura surrounded her

Zeref was shocked at those words, he was speechless.

"AGIEL... You said... Impossible," Said Zeref
