Chapter 9: The Tragic Story Of Loki

It was the same again, the people fled in fear for their lives. Asgard was up in flames, and in ruins. Children were screaming and crying as their mother's and father's hauled them away to try and find safety.

The horses bucked wildly as they tried to break free of their restraints, the ones that broke free ran wild, their hooves hammering the ground, it was like a thundering headache inside Sigyn's head.

Sigyn stood in the midst of it all, unseen and unharmed, yet she was in the same state, her clothes torn and ragged, blood, and grime covered in the ashes of the fires. Her hair braids were loose, frizzy and wild.

It was the same every time. She tried to help her people, but her hand would faze through them like she wasn't even there. People ran threw her body, although she could not feel it. She would watch in horror as her people died around her, as the bodies began to pile. She would break down and scream and cry for release of this nightmare, but release never came no matter how much she begged for it to stop.

She could see it in her eyes, the Nine Realms in ruins. In ashes. Until nothing was left of the civilisations. Until the rivers ran red...

She would scream and cry for Loki, but he never came to her aid. She would cry for Thor, but he too never came.

It never stopped, until nothing was left of Asgard, until she was the only one left. She was alone. Afraid.

The only thing that changed this time, so sudden as it was, flashes came to her. The sight of an eye that resembled a cat almost, bright yellow eyes with a black slit pierced her mind. 

Then a crow and then another.  The flapping of the birds wings and their cawed loudly in Sigyn's ear.
